^ Ludicrous asking price. I'm not aware of any R35s selling for anything remotely close to this.

The GTR was supposed to be every successful mans attainable car that could compete with supercars. MSRP at about $69k when it first entered the market. Now, $113k and $210k for a nismo. It has double the price for little improvements. And Nissan is wondering why it has financial difficulties.

^ It has also been discontinued in Australia (it doesn't meet new side impact requirements). It's all pretty irrelevant since it's probably in the process of being replaced by a new/updated model anyway.

The R35 is getting the axe in Europe.

Nissan GT-R Discontinued In Europe Because Of Emissions Regulations

Jalopnik and other places say it's because the exhaust is too loud for new noise regulations:

Nissan Killed The GT-R In Europe Because It's Too Loud
Looming noise regulations have forced Nissan’s hand
It could well be a combination of both, although the noise is possibly easy to fix. The new noise regulations would also see the end to current models of most other expensive sports cars.

A bit silly when they're also coming up with new laws to purposely force electric cars to make noise. You'll have to have a Goldilocks car ... not too noisy, not too quiet, just right. ;)
