I just ordered a set of slip-on spacers and extended studs from Z1. I want to go 15mm in front and 20mm in the rear. I am sticking with my stock performance wheels, and I am worried my factory lug nuts will not fit with the 20mm spacers in the rear. Has anyone done extended studs on the stock wheels? I have been casually looking, but I don't think the open-ended lugs will work with the factory wheels, all of them say "do not work with factory wheels". Does anyone make a set up closed end longer studs that work with the factory wheels?

Did you get +20mm studs on all 4 corners?
If so, 20mm extended studs with 20mm spacers on the rear will be fine.
I’m concerned with 20mm longer on the front studs with 15mm spacers. Not sure if there’s a spare 5mm in the OEM nuts.

OEM Toyota have this, but they appear to all be M12x1.5, not M12x1.25.
Checked McGard, Gorilla, Amazon, etc. and couldnt find anything.

I actually only ordered the 20mm for the rears with the extended studs: I didn't order the fronts yet since I also could not find suitable lugs for the 15mm spacers and studs for the front. I don’t think want to go 20mm spacers up front. If I want to run 15mm spacers what’s my option? Z1 only sells 10 or 20mm extended studs, 10mm too short 20mm too long for a 15mm spacer.

I went +10 all around, but haven’t installed yet, not that it matters.
i chose to do spacers and studs separately, all from Z1, because I wanted the OEM style studs, without the ball end, specifically because I’m running OEM nuts (not OEM, but identical, just black). The ball end is ~10mm on its own (no thread engagement). I feel like those are meant for open-end nuts, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use OEM, idk.

i forgot about the ball end ones. Now I’m concerned with both your front and rear.

You could go +20 for all (ball end), pop a front and a rear out, and grind 10 down 20mm longer than the rear and ten 15mm longer that the front.

Found these, but NOT cheap. They look like they would fit OEM wheels. If you’re interested I can measure my OEM and see how they match up, as T1 is kind enough to provide all specs.

My understanding is the ball end studs are for the open ended lugs. When I called Z1 they said the 20mm rear spacers with the 20mm studs ā€œshouldā€ work with the stock lugs. ā€œShouldā€ makes me nervous; and I was going with slip-on spacers and extended studs since I really didn’t want to do bolt on spacers and figured the slip-on style with extended studs would work.

ā€œā€¦should workā€¦ā€
Nice. Thanks :cautious:
It makes sense, technically they are 20mm longer then stock and the spacers are 20mm, so ā€œshouldā€ works for me. Looks like I’m stuck going 20mm up front also, can’t find a solution to make 15mm work without grinding down the 20mm extended studs down to 15mm.

OEM studs with 5mm slip on spacers work. OEM nuts have good engagement, and I did this on my Z and proved it. Problem was, and supposedly that shouldn’t happen, at least one lost the hub centering and I got a vibration, so I removed them.

Not sure how the ball end studs measure up, BUT…

If OEM studs/nuts can handle +5 (proven) then OEM style +10 studs (currently $36) will handle 15mm slip ons (currently $46), no problem.
The combo kit with ball end is currently $71, so I think the extra $11 getting them separately is worth it, knowing that setup works with the OEM nuts.

I was looking at this; and was a bit nervous: the front is a bitch to do with the extended studs, so I was worried that the plus 10mm would not be enough thread engagement for the 15mm spacers and wouldn’t be safe.

I paid really close attention when adding the 5mm spacers and there was plenty of thread engagement. 10mm spacers may have grabbed the threads, but wouldn’t have been enough. I was happy with and had no problem with the +5mm with OEM studs and nuts, front and rear, just not enough left between the wheel and hub center to get it lined up just right.

So the plot thickens. I found that Eibach sells a 15mm slip on spacer with included extended studs. The problem is, there website says the studs are 14.9 knurled diameter, which If I am mistaken is too big? I think the Z is 14.3. Here is the site, what are your thoughts? I called EIbach and they were insistent the 2024 Nissan Z uses a 14.9 diameter wheel stud. I like the Eibach quality, made in Germany etc. Nissan 350Z / Nissan Maxima / Nissan 370Z / Nissan Murano / Nissan Juke / Nissan Z PRO-SPACER

My calipers are on my desk at work with that stupid oil control solenoid. I can take a stud to work tomorrow and measure.

However, this is the NISMO extended wheel stud matrix from nismo.co.jp.
Z33, Z34 and RZ34 are all #6 and #8, depending if you want +10mm or +20mm, and ARE 14.3mm knurl.

Couldnt get the header on the model matrix, but the center four columns reference the top list ā€œ6, 8, 6, 8ā€ for front and rear and length.

So it appears that eibach has their sizes wrong for the Nissan Z threads.

It’s only about half a mm, so you may be able to squeeze the crap out of them and get them to seat. May work on an arbor press with the hub loose, but I wouldn’t trust it using the lug nut method or a threaded install tool. Too much chance to stress and stretch the stud and deform threads.
Regardless, if you ever wanted to switch, you can’t (or shouldn’t) go back to 14.3’s.

Searching Google for cars with 14.3 and 14.9, AI lists 350Z/370Z on both searches. 4 of the 5 links saying 14.9 are Eibach spacer links though.
I’d trust official NISMO specs.
Ill throw one in my bag to take tomorrow and will let you know.

Edit: Many sites list ARP stud kit 100-7716 for 350/370/GT-R, etc. It’s marked as a Subaru kit. Most say ā€œ14mm knurlā€ and ARP specs list the knurl at 0.565ā€ (14.35mm).
