I watched a video of someone talking about the VR30DDTT that's in the Z and based on the cutaway engine video they thought the turbos looked a little bigger than the ones found in the Q60, so they may be different and will hopefully have fixed that. Hopefully that's true and they'll also be capable of producing more power with a tune.

Maybe Dan can confirm they are different? Also it was suggested that the Q60's VR30 was actually a 2.9L and the Z's will be a true 3.0L.

Did read somewhere about the bigger turbos, can't find the source though. The Z1 Motorsport posting mentioned that 3042cc upsized motor per the specs. Another fact I can't confirm, are the VR30 turbos Mitsubishi or Garrett, and sizes?

Has Matsuda (digital intruments) or any other professional race driver been involved in the chassis tuning (shock valving, springs, mounting points, etc) of the new Z, similar to what Senna did with the gen 1 NSX? I'm hoping any snap oversteer is eliminated esp. with the 400hp on tap.

Hey @Dan_Passe , another one for ya - some folks are reporting heading to dealers recently, asking sales managers/GMs post-Vegas summit, and hearing "dealers find out allocations in January, cars available Juneish." The latest came from @Donalex , who was informed of such recently in FL (hyperlink to post).

As you know, that's definitely not "Spring 2022" - are y'all able to confirm this, or hopefully deny it? Website still says Spring 2022, haven't see any press releases/formal comms countering it, so remaining optimistic spring is still on.

I wouldn't think dealers would want to give out information that DELAYS the sale of a car unless they knew it to be true, as that'd obviously make things more difficult for them in terms of moving the vehicle.

Thanks again for all you do, both on the forum and across the company!

That's a great question - not sure but I know our test driving roster in Japan is quite deep.

Hi Dan, if this was asked sorry, but when will the car be available for reviewers to do full road test reviews?
We're looking at that timing now. It really depends on when test units are being produced - that's an ongoing discussion with our counterparts in Japan. And yes, I'm applying pressure.
