It looks like the R36 will go the same route as the Z35. In the sense it will be based on it's predecessor.

Yup, and they will probably be the last ICE sport cars offered by Nissan before everything goes EV.

Will anyone be holding off from making a purchase until we see the Nismo version?
Nope…power doesn’t mean the world to me, I’m not a racer…just looking for a fun everyday drive.
Anything cosmetic can be changed if I choose to do so, and it will be more affordable.
The Z will do me nicely

Nope. I'm getting the new Z as soon as it is available for MSRP, or hopefully a little less. I don't want to wait any longer than that. I want a fun car now.

Will I trade that car for the NISMO when it comes out? Quite possibly!
