Not sure how, never underestimate Z1!, but it appears their mathematicians and physicists were able to crack the code, and came up with a formula for determining the correct oil filter for the Nissan Z.

E is greater than A, and A is greater than B

To all those with B’s, good luck with your spun bearings!

I think my ”Talking About Oil Filters” tank is officially empty.

The Nissan dealership used 15208-ED50A oil filter on my last service. Has anyone heard of this one?

Just use the A5208-65F1PNW filter for now until Nissan gets new filters in stock if you're using the 0w20 oil (which most people should be using). If you want to use thicker oil, use the Nismo performance filter.

I highly doubt Nissan would be telling consumers to use the wrong filter because they really can't afford class action lawsuits right now.
Thats for 1 Nismo filter 😬
I'll stick with my 5w30 and 15208-9E01A filter

Z1 says to use F0E filter for thicker oil 🤷. Honestly when it comes to protecting the engine especially on track, I'll pay $40 for a filter
Theyre following Z guidelines. Which is understandable so they dont get blamed for suggesting incorrect filters.

Z guidelines? Well for the new Z the guidelines dictate don't use thicker oil.
They, as in Z1

I dont have to follow those same guidelines. If my engine fails for using incorrect oil or filter, thats on me and I can only blame myself. Im not going to sue myself 😂
