ya? how many z's more 1 unit allocations? then they will say yup we delivered the z's across canada of 50 units? i wouldnt knock them so hard if they didnt take preorders but when you take preorders especially on the website and take customers hard earned money for a year and 4 months with nothing to show for it is just bad practice

I love all their new social media posts too, saying the 'all new Z is being delivered to dealers across Canada!' Stop in and buy it basically lmao. Its like what Zs? Such false information. And that Z owners series on YouTube they did..neat idea for a campaign, but that successfully strung us along for another 6 weeks .. they're doing all hype still. Yet, no cars to purchase

They also stated on their website they are not taking any more orders!

Text msg I received since emailing my dealership about 2 weeks ago with no answer, so i decided to email the gm instead. The same old no updates and passing the buck between nissan canada and the dealerships.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. The reason I want to reach out to you since your recent inquiry got my attention. I understand you put a deposit on the new Z with us last year. As of right now, we still don't have any update from Nissan regarding when and how many we will receive the new Z.
We will continue keep eye on the Z and keep you posted if there is any further update from Nissan.

We appreciate your patient and we are just as excited as you are.

If you are anything like me….unfortunately the excitement wore off a long time ago and has been replaced with frustration and disappointment

It looks like they added a Service sub menu during the build. Or was it always there and I just missed it before?

Interesting. Yeah I don't recall seeing that before, though I haven't spent much time on their site. Visit every once in a while to see if it still says "we are not taking any new orders" lol

As a Canadian who got my Z - my dealer was honest with me...

I bought my Z out of Regina, the only darn Nissan dealership in town. And they straight told me, we will only get one Z (the one I purchased) this year, they have no damn idea if they'll get more for next year, hell if even a MY24 is being produced....

In my case, there was a fella in Regina who "ordered" one through the dealership way back in beginning of 22.
Basically, nothing through a website or anything, fella walked into the dealership and said he wanted a Z - white, auto, performance, some options (including one of the two "mandatory packages that I ended paying for). He got matched with my Sales Agent.

She "attempted" to put an order into the system and got rejected back in early 22.
But, some month later, she told me she was able to verbally tell her Nissan Canada rep and "they were going to put an order in for them" (they got no confirmation, no PO, MO, nothing.... just a verbal "we got you" from Nissan CA)

Then low and behold, they got notice in Dec 22 that they are receiving a white auto performance within a couple/few weeks. Guess what.. didn't even have all the damn options the "original fella" ordered (i.e. kickplates, and some other stuff that I'm not sure about) Sales rep called the fella, no answer for a week and since there was not "concrete name attached to the vehicle(i.e. reservation / allocation / pre-order / call it wtv you want)" they were able to sell it as they please, that is when I saw the AutoTrader ad the same day they put it up.

Now to talk about that picture that was floating on how dealers will get allocated a car, based on previous sales of 370zs, etc.
Partial truth....

The same Regina dealer had sold one of the last 370z that were produced, i believe 2019 or maybe 2018. Hell it was only one at that, where they got a random370z and sold it within weeks back then.
At that time, Nissan CA told em that a new Z was coming and since they have "success" in selling 370z, that they should be receiving one of the first allocations.

------

This is a stark contrast from my local dealerships in MTL (there are like 10 Nissan dealers in a 150km radius)

Each damn dealer had no idea, Nissan CA was hush hush.
At my specific dealer, I come to find out after I cancel my "deposit", that they will only get 1 performance, 1 sport, 0 proto

they learned this around Dec 22 as well....

Fuckers lied to me, wouldn't tell me any of this shit when i was in the Queue.
and come to find out I as like #7 in the Queue (that is putting in my deposit first week of May 22).

Same story at other dealers I called and who were honest, hell most said "we're getting one, no idea if it's going to be sport or performance and no details on options"

It's a very similar story in Ontario.

Ottawa was a little whacky....
since there are fewer dealership, but they had "Decent success" selling 370z in the past, i think a couple or few dealers got two cars each: 1 perf, 1 sport.

---------

Bottom line - I have no fucking clue...
I feel for each of us, as I was in the same boat...

My advice, keep searching and jump on any opportunity you have in Canada...

Dealers are not respecting website orders (because to my understanding Nissan CA should be managing this, not at a dealership level....) , it's a first come first serve based on the Queue, or if you know people in the Biz, you may jump ahead in the Queue.

Every dealer i spoke with have no idea what allocation are coming for the rest of this year, many saying what they got in the last few months is what they'll see for this year.

Even more dealers have no fucking idea of MY24...

Placing order in May 22? Isn't that when the price was revealed? That's long after the online ordering were closed.
Some/many(?) of us placed order directly with the dealer late Jan/early Feb, before the online ordering started.

Do you think it is worth it at those price points?

Yes, but let me be clear - it was not an "order" it was simply me walking into my local Nissan dealership, giving them $1000 deposit, thereafter, i was never provided a VIN/Purchase Order/Manufacturer Order/etc.

I was given nothing, except a flimsy visa credit receipts for $1000 and a card with my sales agent's info and pen-written Z order....

I'd continually ask while waiting, did you get an order number? purchase number? manufacturer number? did you place the order in the system? as anyone outside of the dealership acknowledged my "order" - answer was always no....

I;m simply saying, my $1000 was to put myself in a queue at that specific dealership.

That's pretty much the same with the dealer orders in 2022 late Jan. Except they did put it in the system.
