I don’t see why Canada wouldn’t get it…Australia is, and I’d guess we are a smaller market than you guys.
We are not even getting a choice of performance and sport, just a mixed model and the Proto…I can’t believe we would get it and you guys won’t
I had to google it, but yeah there are more people in Canada.

Australia/Population 25.69 million (2020)
Canada/Population 38.01 million (2020)

Well I'll be seeing that exact car in Toronto in February, maybe it's less in your face IRL...

I was unsure of it as well, however after seeing it in person, I quickly changed my mind. It looks good. I took a couple chapsticks (Burt’s bees, Carmex) to help better portray it, and as you’ll see it’s a more…subtle yellow? Almost springtime, pastel-ish?

Smart move bringing a colour reference! I'll do the same, it's important in my case since the car won't be in natural light but sitting in a mall.

But assuming the car being placed in the mall is the car shown above, that will still leave the issue of how close the proto-spec launch edition yellow is to the production car yellow, they are different codes.

Thanks! And yeah, this was inside a convention center (auto show), so imagine it'll be a similar environment.

Devon, are you saying Nissan has 2 different yellow codes for the new Z?

I know the proto was a pearl yellow not destined for production......

Interesting. You mean the prototype and the Proto trim right?

Seems I made an incorrect assumption here, I was thinking the special edition proto trim was using the exact same paint as the actual reveal proto. But now I remember Dan mentioning the real proto's paint was unique, so it seems all yellow production cars will have the same paint code. I've altered my earlier post to reflect this.
