To add to the paranoia…. Car manufacturers collect driving data every time the car is driven. They make some money selling the data to a company called Lexus nexus Your insurance company buys driving histories from this company. Just a fwiw.

Great post, to those that haven't yet.
Open my Nissan App on phone.
Settings, scroll to bottom.
Do not sell my, fill it out, when you get the email mail you'll know you did it right, it takes about a day or so to receive it.

what about for someone that doesnt have the app?
Id say to do what Citrus is talking about and unplug the safest component. In fact I may still do it myself.
