How is the automatic on the Nismo?

Manuals used to be cheaper than autos… now you have to pay an enthusiast tax for them. No matter how anyone tries to justify the cost, you’re paying a premium for older tech. It’s like paying more money for a pedal bike over an e-bike. Not saying there’s anything wrong with that if that’s what you’re into but just don’t get it twisted.

...If you can find a new MT Nismo, get that. No way can I take the hit on selling my 2025 Z Nismo. Plus I get 24-25mpg and not 19mpg with the 370Z.

Now that I'm driving my 27 MT Nismo, I can compare. I won't say that one is better than the other one; that would be absurd. The MT, when placed on sport mode, seems faster. But again, not better. I'm glad I don't have to wait for the tranny to be warm or overlook the shifting delay from the paddles.
I'm very happy with it.

True!
I was fortunate enough to get $11K off MSRP and no adders. I would get absolutely creamed trading to a manual.
Would get a brand new car, with manual and a nifty phone charger; other than that, identical...although I could see myself in white or red to change things up.
I might think about that for...maybe up to...say $10K?...maybe?...idk. But we're talking like a $25K differential. I would love to be shifting another 6 speed, but I'll be totally honest and say that based on my current financial standing, I don't love them enough to pay a $25K premium. I've had a blast for the last 17 months with my lowly AT

I do see more MT Nismos coming to dealers. So, maybe a year from now, you will definitely have some options...
If I wouldn't be able to get the stealth/grey I wanted, I was also considering the white paint option with the racing nismo strips on it.

I think MT may be a little lighter and have a little less drivetrain loss. Not back by facts, just an assumption

It is definitely lighter; this is well documented and one of the reasons for the suspension adjustments Nissan had to make on the slower... ahem, manual Nismo (a joke but considering calling it that from now on ).
