When I bought my car, I was under the insinuation that it was much slower than the competition based off what i see online. I perfected the break in and now its pushing 27k km (16 thousand miles). Ive done some dragy 100-200 runs, some races here and there with the competition and it is nowhere near as slow as what I have seen online.

I was neck and neck with a dark horse with me being infront slightly from about 130-235kph (about 70-140mph). I also raced tuned supras, r34s, a cayyene gts and even a cayyene turbo gt. I was faster than 400whp r34, slower than a tuned supra (not by much tho), I toyed with the cayyene gts and was a bit slower than the cayyene turbo gt. My cars stock except for track catback awe exhaust.

I just cant believe that the Z loses horribly in some of the videos I see online. My best 100-200 time on dragy is 9.51 during the winter with the average being high 9's. My best quarter mile is about low 12.3-4 and I trap at around 183-185 kph but I never tried it on good tyres or in the winter as I dont like launching my car. So why is this the case? Do I just have a faster Z or is that a normal time? On full throttle I peak at about 1.2 bar or around 17-18 psi in 3rd and 4th and then slowly settles to 15 psi. Im hoping thats normal boost, but Im starting to believe all the Z races online have abused engines šŸ˜….

If you want you can get one now and and enjoy some extra hp. When you get all your bolt ons added you can reach out to me and I'll have my tuner send over revised maps to your chip for free.

I did some benchmark testing of my Z NISMO bone stock
4.23 0-60 ( 3.96 1 foot roll out)
9.4 0-100
12.39 1/4 mile @ 114 ( thought the trap was a couple mph disappointing but good ET)

did about 5 laps of up to 140mph on the backstretch of a track but didnt get a dragy of the 60-130 but it was right at 11.5 seconds according to the in car video. that would be the closest comparable to your 100-200kmph (62-124) I think a pretty standard stock time for the Z performance 60mph-130mph is around 11.7-11.8 secs??

When I get my car back ill do some tests. But its interesting to see the Z nismo and performance stock for stock are the same. I guess the 20hp gain is negligible with the extra weight. Im sure its a different story around the track though.

yeah from a dig off the line its pretty similar the NISMO power is more about acceleration out of turns ect. in that scenario you can tell. but other than that is about 1-2 tenths at most faster in measured 0-60 1/4 ect ect

For some reason the Z gets massive hate, like it’s cool to hate it. Everyone I’ve ran has been greatly impressed even if I was killed. And I’ve shocked some with wins that everyone online says I should lose.

I don’t get it. I’m just glad I have a Z!

One thing that must be taken into consideration is the driver. That has to make a difference and you just proved it.

The car feels quick, but I can't help but feel like the stock tune on the car feels like it wants to do more but is being held back. That, coupled with the small exhaust piping that came with the car. It does do a good job smoothly delivering the power.

What a lot of youtubers skimp on or miss entirely is what attracted me to the Z to begin with. If you look at this car as a canvas ready for personalization, you've just unlocked half the fun and performance of it.

Nissan (maybe to a fault) I believe left the car with a lot on the table. Suspension, exhaust sizing, tires, etc are all on the more relaxed side rather than outright aggressive, but in my head canon, throwing on some PS4S or Sport Cup 2's and other minor additions will give a great OEM+ feel to it. I didn't just buy the car, I bought the experience of owning it.
