Can you elaborate a bit more on the 5k soft limiter please?

It doesn't let you rev more than 5k rpm when stationary. No impact on the actual driving experience.

No idea. It's not a particularly revvy engine and has so much torque down low and mid there's not much point banging it off the rev limiter.
