Did your dealership provide any reason for the delay?
Word from my dealer is the manuals are delayed to next year, autos are still arriving and they are taking delivery of a blue and black soon.

If true…what does that mean for the few manuals that are already here?
obviously there are still issues
I’m wondering if the guy on Facebook that sys his car is in a boat on the way to Perth ordered a manual or auto

Remember Nissan Delayed (we were told “scraped” even) last year’s expected August deliveries to fix the 2nd gear grinding on manual and rollover risk on Auto. This has been fixed and there’s no stop sale globally. The delay is once again Nissan not giving a shit on delivering on expectations. They make 5 times more money making a Qashqai than a Z… for struggling manufacturer it’s a no brainer

Nissan Z is one of very few passenger car coming with Euro 5 emission standard ( all imported European cars on Euro 6), Mustang’s Dark Horse facing gas guzzler tax in USA and Australia might also follow suit by the time Z arrives in 2024 with a price hike

it’s a reasonable question. The manual coupe in my garage is a Dec 22 build. Might need to make a call or two.

Hi everyone,

Thought you all might be interested in what the dealer had to say this morning. (2 more weeks)

My most recent expected delivery was mid May, updated from end of April which was guestimated in March. As of this morning, My Z is at Port Kembla, having arrived 2 days ago. It should be complied and delivered to Sydney in about 2 weeks.

They took my deposit in september 2021. I didn't ask about delays or expectations for delivery of other Zs, just mine.

Wish me luck.

also they have the VIN of my vehicle. Not sure if that does me any good with respect to tracking its progress at this point, but Ive asked them to email it to me.

While I have your attention, what is the conventional wisdom on PPF, ceramic coating, tinting and that windscreen protector thing the dealers try to upsell you? Is it better / cheaper to get this done by a specialist? Any reason to go one way or the other?

Cheers everyone <3

Sounds promising.

I've skipped the PPF and Ceramic as I find the cost to do a paint correction is generally cheaper in the long run. That said I do apply my own Ceramic wax and am very careful with washing. Most paint swirls are caused by overly zealous owners rubbing whilst washing.

I've done the tint at the dealership, however I do get a good price. Main reason people stick with the dealer is that you have one warranty provider. However I don't think it really matters and you may get it cheaper elsewhere. :)

Plate relocation and first stone chip, off to hunt touch up paint this week.

Is that a chip or a bonnet rub?

Either way in the zoom it looks nasty, like the paint has not bonded to primer/undercoat base... Also looks like some bubbling on the sides?? This is interesting based on some of the delay concerns....

When car finally arrives will get ceramic coating have had some quotes and will either be Zen Auto in Arncliffe or Tint Haus in Thornleigh, happy with their package prices including tinting
