This is my point though….the excuses around covid and chips is no longer an excuse, other car companies seem to be pumping cars out..meanwhile a year and 5 months on still no word on the Z, and even if I was saying since launch it’s now been 10 months

Thanks for checking it out though
Toyota cut 100,000 global production plan in June and 50,000 in July due to shortages.

Nissan aren't making 370s anymore and prob not a lot of GTRs either. They should have plenty of capacity.

Thought I’d share. My dealer just called and confirmed they’re getting a demo end of August.

Black, manual.

Allocations for the coupe should be finalised from now til then.

End of August …hardly mid year, especially when it’s just the demos, god knows how long we will have to wait for the actual coupe to be in our hands, but I’d say at least a year from release…at least.
Sorry feeling pretty bummed today.

Hang in there, I'm pretty sure you will be among the first to get a Z when they are finally released.
In the meantime I would be sus about any one dealers comments until we had multiple dealers report the same details.

Agree. I just found it quite surprisingly that my dealer called on a Sunday with specific details .
Wouldn’t say it’s gospel until I see it ..

I suspect that early orders and protos will arrive alongside the demos. These people on fb talking about November, December and January deliveries ordered later than many or us here.

Hope you are right, with no allocation notifications as of yet it’s hard to stay positive.
Meanwhile my youngest has now passed his learners, so I’m on borrowed time and sharing his car

Dealers in WA are not even opened on Sundays …very surprising to get the call.
I’ve sent my dealer a quick email, stating I’ve heard demos are arriving soon and asking for any updates now July is finished, I’ll have to wait and see what he says…if he says anything at all

My wife thinks the delays are good as the longer it takes her car gets to stay in the garage before going out to the driveway for the Z, to me makes sense to keep the newer cars in the garage.
Now she will want a new Qashqai based on my thinking?
