deposit down Sam? where are you based? :)
Brisbane-based, deposit down last October. How about you?

According to our Aussie media releases, we'll have pricing next week ;)
The USA embargo lifts May 16 though, it'll be good to see actual driving impressions!

Are we all going to call our Nissan dealers next week and get the drive away price.
Would be very interesting to see what the fluctuations will be from all the dealers

For sure, usually there isn’t a fluctuation…not within a state at any rate….but who knows, always a first time

Have always managed to get at least floormats and a full tank in the past , this being a more expensive car than others I've had I'm going to try
for more.

I've been taking my car to the same local Nissan dealer for the nearly 25 years I've had it.

I get a 10% discount on labour and some parts and fluids for servicing and repairs.

I also got free plastic licence plate surrounds when my original ones broke, although they do have the dealer name across the bottom. That was a few years ago and the dealer name has changed since then, so they're now wrong.

The recommended retail price should be the same in all states and then the on road costs
would vary a bit between states so all the final drive away price shouldn't vary to much between us all

Will be interesting to see if we get the same option for an aftermarket Nismo exhaust, looks like Japan and US is at launch.

There’s another thread on here that’s confirmed the manual performance grade definitely comes with a quieter one stock, due to more restrictive noise testing requirements for a manual car in the US.

Might find that it’s not available here, due to those noise restrictions, hard to know without knowing what it sounds like in person
As mentioned I won’t be getting anything extra unless it’s free…it’s going to be painful handing over the money just for the car alone

The Nismo exhaust looks to me to be more or less just an Axleback exhaust albeit with longer tubing but it doesn't look long enough to be a cat-back system. For the price I would go with a proper cat-back system from an aftermarket maker as I don't think the Nismo will offer that big a difference compared to stock.

This is sort of a grey area as if it is OEM you can potentially somewhat bypass those restrictions.

This is what Harley-Davidson does with it's motorbikes.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ for example if I remember correctly is over 110dB from the factory and is completely road legal here.

hope they do have the option of louder exhaust... but given they don't really give us many options here (smaller screen etc) I suspect it'll be pick your colour and that's about it.

interesting they'll do ours earlier... I'd have expected a full global release all at once.
It would be difficult to produce enough cars for a full global release, especially with all the recent issues causing delays and shipping problems. No doubt they have picked the biggest markets to release a few cars in first (US, Canda, and Australia, since the UK isn't getting it at all), then dribble out to the rest of us.
