My 200sx has the indicators on the right, but my mother's VW Polo has the indicators on the left ... pain in the backside whenever I have to drive her car and flick the windscreen wipers on for the first few times. :)
In all my travels driving on different sides of the road, shifting with right or left hand, etc ... the turn signal thing whilst driving in Australia got me the most. I kept hitting the wrong control while there. And then after returning to the states, it took a while before not having to stop and think which stalk to operate for turn vs wipers.

When you have a car of each, you just get use to it …just as we do with everything

Well Australian Nissan dealers have not been told of any delays for our market (which I find incredibly surprising). So unless something changes very quickly we should be driving June/July.

I honestly reckon we'd be pushing our luck to have a Z in our garages at bloody Christmas time. Tryst me, it's a disappointing notion for me to even consider, but I'd honestly be surprised if we had taken collection any earlier. It'll be a bonus to get it earlier imo.

Looks like dealers are being strongly mislead then. For a June/July delivery they’d be needing to be heading for the docks as we speak.

You reckon we've got a chance despite America being told to wait?

I haven't brushed up on the latest regarding the delay, but I assumed it was just a generalised delay across all countries. Given my own dealer has been as quiet as a church mouse for bloody ages, I just can't see it and have all but zero confidence in it arriving anytime in the near future. Did your dealer contact you regarding the imminent arrival or did you reach out to them ?

Is Japan being delayed ? ?

I contacted the two largest dealers in Brisbane today, both said first delivery is still scheduled for late June, early July. I was very surprised. Perhaps the RHD market really is being prioritised.

I’d love further confirmation if you don’t mind contacting your local dealerships.

Yeah…this is what I was thinking…4 week shipping timeline at least, they would have to know something by now.

trying to stay positive…only thing will be how many in the first shipment
How many can they fit on a ship at one time?
I reckon they would want to maximise it because of the cost increase

And remember…July is still summer in the US

ill try ring my guy now

Ok…thought I’d do my bit and bug my guy
He said the last they heard it’s still on track for July delivery
He also said to expect pricing soon…they were told end of this month, so that 16th date could well be good for us as well.

The only thing I’m not liking is, he confirmed that they would most likely be working to pre orders, in terms of, if they don’t get your specs allocated it will go to the person who have asked for those specs, and you’ll need to wait for next delivery.

He said they have still got 12 orders in the system and they think they will be able to fill only half in the first allocations.
He also said, only 1 auto ordered, and nearly everyone wants yellow ….so they should get at least one manual yellow which is what I ordered, and was first in line to do so.( although I don’t like that most people want yellow)

So….if Nissan Aus is to believed they are still on track for July arrival, and if not they are as @jezzza said keeping their dealers in the dark

As I said, July is still Summer in the US, it could be a world release…or it could be small markets first until they can build stock to lessen this stupid rubbish of dealer mark ups they have in the US

getting exciting

I honestly believe that it is most likely that the dealers just haven't been updated and have been kept in the dark.

Hell even Nissan Australia has probably been kept in the dark!

We are such a small market relatively for this car that it is very possible that we have just been forgotten about with all the other things going on at the moment for Nissan

Even is Nissan was to somehow supply RHD markets first then I don't think we would be supplied first as Nissan should be supplying the Japanese market first.

To me Japan is the only market that could be supplied first, if they aren't going to do a global release, as to me it is probably the only market that could be supplied first without really pissing people off too much from other markets as it is the domestic market and by rights should get first dibs.

So I find it unlikely that we would somehow get this car in June/July ahead of any other market especially when every other market has been told that it has been delayed.

I don’t think it will be ahead of others though…if the Canadian guy is to be believed, they already have cars in the docks ready
With Japan releasing prices etc, pretty sure that they will be getting cars in the next few months, as the only other RHD consumers with Japan…to me it kinda makes sense to service a small market and get them out of the way whiost they are making cars for a larger market ( Japan)

I understand what your saying…I’m choosing to put my blinkers on, and prepare to be heartbroken again in a few months ?
