So far it seems the only option is to turn it off every time. It’s certainly a very intrusive system.

I’m pretty sure Forscan is just for Fords
Forscan made me think of schmuck. 😂
The only software I know of that could possibly alter the settings is Consult3. This is a specific diagnostic program used by Nissan Master Techs. Sadly the system could cause legal liability for Nissan if it failed causing an accident. Unless you manually turned it off.
Because of this, Even Master Techs need to login with unique credentials to calibrate or test Emergency Braking.
tl;dr
Your only option is to switch it off every time you start the car. But why would you (except on a track) if it could save your life?

Because the system is too sensitive, and even just driving in normal rush hour traffic on the highway can be enough to scare it into braking.

Okay. I suppose there should be a way to adjust the sensitivity slightly. Like the distance setting in Cruise Control.

I’ve had warnings… but the only time it actually braked was when I tried to drive with the door open & without holding down the brake & creeping.

Yeah, I searched around for just that because my f150 has a sensitivity setting for emergency braking, and I leave it on minimum. In the Z as I’m weaving in and out of traffic the car panics and brakes just as I’m about to try to get around someone. It’s not ideal for spirited driving in the bumper to bumper at 80mph traffic on my local highways.

A bit off topic, but does anyone know if the emergency braking is actually present in MT cars? Mine overzealously has gone off a few times but I always find myself asking if it would actually automatically apply the brakes on a manual trans car, not that I ever want to find out.
