So recently had my Nismo serviced and unfortunately after I made it home after a quick wash I noticed a small indent on the divers side skirt more toward the rear of the front tire. Appears to possibly be from the lift arms as there is no other damage indicating I ran over something on the way home.

Anyone experienced this before at the dealer and had any issues addressing issues out of the shop?

I immediately notified my salesman as it’s only a few months old…just over 2500 miles. Currently waiting for the service team to review photos taken before the car went in.

$5 says when you tell them, they'll say, "It was there when we got the car."

<OR>

It happened after you left the shop.

Rt 17 Nissan took pics and a 360 video of mine when I left it for one issue.

I went to a local dealer to get a service done which included a tire rotation. Everything seemed fine until my son notice a bout a week later that something looked off with the car. Then he notice they had put the rear tires up front and the front in the rear WTF! I took it to a local tire shop to get them balanced and swapped back. This reminded me always check your vehicle out before you leave.

Didn't want to take mine to the dealer last week for the first oil change. Only reason I did was because the dealership I bought it from didn't like that it appeared I hadn't changed my oil in my trade-in 350Z for over two years, and I had an oil change about 6 weeks earlier. Turns out the shop that was doing it (right down the street, and does the maint on our company/fleet vehicles) doesn't report to Carfax for whatever reason. I don't trust the local dealership. Heard too many stories. And it seems like, in general, dealerships are more likely to deny damaging things than independent shops.

I take photos of my car on every drop off to avoid just this. Unfortunately no one else will care about your car as much as you do. Hope they come to the party and repair. Good luck.
I hear ya. Definitely

Well, after some back-and-forth, the dealer stepped up to the plate and is going to replace the side skirt. Appreciate the wake up call from the group as I’ll definitely be taking photos and videos from here on out!

With my previous car, I'd drag my service advisor out to the intake bay and make him walk the car with me to confirm that there was no damage prior to handing over the keys. Most of the Nissan dealership service centers in my area sketch me out, seems like they hire shifty-looking 18 year old kids straight out of the juvenile detention center.

I also don't ever let valet drivers park the car, and my girlfriend is on a strict passenger-only policy :LOL: Trust issues I guess? lol

Sorry to hear. I think it may be better to have your vehicle serviced by a more reputable and personal service center even if you have to pay more. In a some members could or would advise, perhaps it would be a good idea to service the vehicle yourself if you're comfortable and you get the hang of it.

Hopefully you get all this worked out and then you can find out an alternative direction for servicing needs down the line.
