Yeah this "redesign" is total crap. The front end looks like a ford fusion and the rear looks like any generic sedan. Nissan did something clever by reflecting the beltline on the lower part of the door and side skirt. He just replaced it with something boring as seen on every mundane car. He even desecrated the slope of the roofline by adding a trunk. The signature feature of an S30 is how the roofline abruptly ends without leveling off. And like others have pointed out the haunches paired with the quarter windows make it look like a mustang. Imo Nissan produced the best possible design for the chassis they were restricted to.

Chip where were you when Nissan designed the new Z? Your design might have increased the sales!!
I mean you can just go buy a Mustang if that's the look you're going for.

Well, he did a shit job at a "redesign" that nobody asked for.
