Bayside is the same as Wangan blue in Japan, I was given this hardbound brochure while there couple months ago. No metallic but pearl coats.

I am torn between the red and blue color for a Sports trim. My number one choice is white but they don't have any left in a manual around the Socal area. I currently have a Miata ND in Soul Red. Red is a bit high maintenance if one doesn't have a garage like me LOL!

Does the bayside blue on the Z have any pearl or metallic flake to it (or is it flat blue?). the name compared to the other's on Nissan's site implies flat and I'm not clear what "quad coat" means exactly. Haven't seen this color in person yet...

Technically, its described as metallic pearl paint and is definitely not a flat color. In these pics, the mica is most noticeable in the mirrors, door handles, and A-pillar.
