Personally, I would ask the company to supply their engineering data that would support essentially doubling the load on the Z's shoulder belt attach bolt and fitting. Since this bar is only supported by two bolts if you had two people in the car during a crash, both people would load into the bar thereby doubling the load on each bolt and fitting. Also, is this a factory approved approach?

In my previous car, a ZR1 vette, my harness bar was in a factory supplied location and the roof had a built in magnesium roll hoop. And the bar had a truss built into it to help support the loading. Keep in mind that your body loads into a racing harness much quicker than a regular seat belt which increases the load on the bar as well as your body. Here is an interesting link that will let you compare expected impact loads. You can play with the body movement parameters to see how the loading changes.

This might be an option that you would want to evaluate:

I have the Next Level bar on my Z34
Used with Schroth 4pt harness (with Anti-Sub flap) and Sparco EVO QRT XL
Two track events + some street driving. No harness is convenient on street, but works flawlessly on track.
This part has been around for a while and has been used by other people on track with no issue, fwiw
The bigger issue is to find a seat that fits you correctly with the harness openings at the correct angle. Too sharp an angle and its just gonna kill or paralyze you.
I test fit a Recaro SPG XL with a recaro dealer who checked this for me in person and rule me out for that seat. Sparco had a much higher opening which was verified by my shop that installed it and at the track inspection.

Next Level Performance harness bar
Stanceparts Air Cup tank
powdercoated candy red
Synergy Composites carbon deck for trunk (don’t worry about the scuffs, it’s PFF’d)

i recommend this bar if you aren’t ready to go half/full cage
verify fitment for RZ34 with NLP to see if there were any hardware changes
on my 2015 I had to get one additional fitting

the bar itself is made in Australia by Trackart
NLP can powdercoat it
