Any CEL with ams catted full downpipes?

Title. I can't find any concrete info through searching.

Has anyone had any experience with whether the AMS full catted downpipes will throw a CEL?

Nooo, I'm pretty sure if you get a good tuner, and use ecutek, they can a) clear the CEL if you already have one, b) fine tune A/F ratio to prevent your engine to throw a CEL

Clearing the ECU can be done with any bluetooth scanner, the issue is that it will come back.

Unless you mean disabling the DTC, which is my question, I guess I should have been more clear, my mistake on that one.

With ECUTek is it possible for tuners to stil disable DTC's?

No. As far as i can remember. What is happening when you upgrade stuff like intakes, dp and exhaust, you're increasing your in-flow and out-flow. This will in return, throw off the A/F Ratio, making the ECU either, pump more/less gas to burn. Your o2 sensor in your Catted downpipes will either pick up on this, or adjust the ecu accordingly. More then likely, since the diameter of the downpipes has increased by 1inch (increasing out flow exhaust, reduction in backpressure), and now there is only one catalyst in each downpipe (compared to the two from stock, which gave us a total of 4), your o2 sensor/s may pick up on this and throw the over threshold bank 1 and/or 2 code.

With ECUTek is it possible for tuners to still disable DTC's?

I'm not sure, but if they did, that'd be a last resort. The tune is to make adjustments according to your upgrades so everything performs better, and reducing the risks of damaging your engine from upgrades parts.



Now, I had installed both AMS Catless and Catted downpipes, both in under 150km gave me a CEL. Additional upgrades include, AMS Intakes, Z1 Oil catch & Boostlogic Ti 3" Exhaust. I've been waiting on Ecutek to unlock my car (Nissan did a Toyota Supra on me), so in the meantime i've been running the stock catalytic converters, and I haven't got a CEL, increased oil consumption, burning oil, oil in turbos, or any other faults since then.

Once Ecutek unlocks my car, I'll be re-installing the AMS Catted DPs (with a bunch of other parts collecting dust here), and getting a proper tune done.
