Ad/highlight videos on this site

The little adds/notifications that pop up in the bottom right are killing me. Year old IPad and Safari, and this site is completely bogging the whole thing down. Just freezes until I can close that video, then 5 secs later it comes back. Can’t believe I made it through this whole post without it locking up.
No other apps running and no other tabs in the browser.
Can those be turned off?
Any suggestions?

Install an ad blocker on your ipad. You can install one on the app store
