Got these Black Friday parts installed by RaceBox here in Houston yesterday and picked the car up today. Perfect fitment all around from the feedback shared and looks of it. I like that the heat exchanger reuses the factory stone guard and the intercoolers fit under the stock engine cover. As for the intakes, you definitely get plenty of those sweet turbo noises! I'll get the rubber gaskets added that seal to the underside of the hood.

I got the rubber seals installed around the airbox tops tonight.

Pro tip: massage them into place prior to installing the intakes! It'll result in a much cleaner fit.

Overall though, love the fit of everything and how it all came together! I'm glad about my choices and think I made a great decision opting for the K&N intakes.

Up next:
  • Dorman aluminum oil pan
  • Stillen swaybars
  • AWE touring exhaust

Have you looked at the Concept Z Performance aluminum oil pan?

I have, I just don't see how they can justify 2x the price. Both have similar capacity, magnetic drain bolts, include quality replacement gaskets, and offer complete oil drains. Cast vs. billet aluminum really doesn't make a difference in this application. It's definitely a sexy looking piece though!

Quick follow-up:
Adding the airbox seals definitely reduced the intake noise by I'd say 50%. Still audible, but muffled. I lightly greased the seals (Honda Shin-Etsu) to see if/where they make contact against the hood and they in fact do. The airbox w/o seals should keep most of the engine bay heat out while still being loud like fully open filters w/o boxes, but w/seals should be just as effective as the fully enclosed airboxes (AMS, Nismo, Mishimoto, etc.), but louder w/o a fully enclosed plastic lid. Definitely pulling in the fresh air from the front bumper ducts as I already found a full leaf in one of them!

I ordered the Dorman one after @KrackaC8 posted about it in another thread. I was planning on getting the CZP one but the Dorman achieves the same benefits for almost $200 less. I love the honeycomb design of the CZP but it’s a part no one will ever see. Keep me posted on the install!

I’ll make it up to CZP by buying their heat exchanger.

In regards to the K&N intakes, someone else here installed them and also said they were pretty quiet when sealed against the hood. I like that design a lot though. I wish K&N had that intake in the newer, dry filters they’ve come out with (the NextGen ones). I love my Nismo intakes, especially after I drilled out all of the dimples to get the turbo sounds while still being enclosed.

@KrackaC8 the Mishimoto intercoolers look nice. I wish they had put their M logo on it vs. just random text that says Mishimoto. Such a 1st world problem but still. Do they still fit under the engine cover?

Sure do! See post #1. They're hidden under the engine cover.
