2025 Performance Reverse Camera Issues

Hello everyone,

I have a 2025 performance with about 17,500 miles that I purchased 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately the reverse camera is borderline unusable on my car. When reversing the camera will either turn on and flicker between the reverse camera screen and regular infotainment screen, or the camera will just never actually show up on the screen. Even when the camera does show up, its insanely laggy and does the flickering between screens like I mentioned.

I read a thread that was posted before on the forum where it seems like someone was having the same issue, but no solution was posted and OP never mentioned if his issue fully went away. I may try to take a look at the camera's physical connections today to see if its as simple as the connector being loose or the wire being crimped awkwardly somewhere.

Hopefully wanting to get some peoples input. Ultimately I know this should be a warranty repair but the dealers near me have terrible service reviews and I'd like to try my luck with seeing if its a simple issue that I may be able to solve myself.

That's a better job to leave for the dealership to handle under warranty since its a federal safety standard that they are obligated to fix. Hopefully its as simple as a software update, but most likely it will require some form of hardware replacement (head unit and or camera).
