Hi All...
Purchased a brand new 2024 Z Performance M/T on 07/05/24 and within the past 2 weeks it started to make a clunking/rattle noise I hear going over small bumps and making a left or right turn at lower speeds. The noise seems to disappear once over 30 MPH (SoCal has loud roads so maybe I can't hear it after that
). Noise started when I drove over a sliding gate rail pulling into a gated community. Originally thought it was the hatch not closed or the sub was loose or something was loose in the rear of the car. Double checked everything and still there. Made an appointment at the Nissan dealer where I purchased the vehicle and they "tightened" everything up but noise still exists. So.....
Upon reading on other forums, I have noticed on older Z's that it could be multiple things but the most common was upper mounts was hitting the rear wheel area and causing the same noise OR removed both rear shocks and installed shims to lessen contact with the cars body.
Im a chef, not a mechanic,
any help would be great before Nissan gives me a run around.
Thanks!
