So just purchased a new 24 M6 performance Z and really do not like the knob. Previous years seem to push towards it being 10m X 1.25 but want to make sure before ordering one. Anyone able to tell me for certain?

Sorry for the poor picture quality. Pic 1 is where the shifter literally sheered off rather than the shift knob letting go. Picture 2 shows how hard I had to squeeze the crap out of it in a bench vice. I was by the grace of God able to save the factory knob. Good luck my Friend. I had to drill out the knob and chase the threads. Someone on the factory line had a lock Tight party when they installed mine! lol

I got really lucky. It truly was tough but I used a heat gun to get the red loc-tite to help release. My original shifter ball was absolutely destroyed though. We used a vice grip on the lower shaft and a huge pipe wrench on the upper.

Nice! I was doing everything I could to not damage the OE knob.

Did mine yesterday and it was a lot of work to get the OEM one out. Really like how my new one from Z1 Motorsports.
