Faxxx! Do it.
From my POV, I grew up with a 1972 240z in the garage. I went for the skyline GTTs and bought 3 for the price of one R34Gtr ( the one I wanted ) now that I’m a few years away from a middle life crisis, () I have my car of choice already lined up.
And if Nissan doesn’t upgrade the ecu like Mazda and the” tune by gas Aki “( whatever gas you use the ecu selects the appropriate tune 300hp/400hp/500hp ) then I have mods lined up too. Lol.

With the SCCI ( spark control compression ignition ) and fuel grade -tune selectivity, ICE engine can become more efficient.
Nissan is projecting 50% ice efficiency in the future. Turbo + SCCI + fuel tune ^TM with close gearing the load is more linear, and this tech is definitely capable.

ICE future doesn’t look so grim.

Whether to trade my 29 August 2008 bought GT-R in for a 400Z, now that I'm 80? Decisions, decisions. I could maybe go for a 1:1 price trade...

Anyone see that the Supra is testing with a new engine capable of 500hp supposedly. https://www.motor1.com/news/446042/toyota-supra-s58-testing-report/ If they put that in the Supra and keep the price the same that could spell trouble for Nissan especially if the pricing is in the upper 40k range. If I'm the average buyer I might think that the manual transmission in the Z is cool however I'm not going to ignore the fact that I can get a 500hp Supra for a little more.
That is for the Supra GRMN and the return of the ///M Roadster, not the "base" Supra.

Supra GRMN will have the ///M motor, all the vents will be functional, etc
