I noticed in the owner manual it also advised against hard braking during break in.

Interesting, brakes tend to work best when you "bed" them by performing several very hard stops when they're new. That's my protocol for any brake job I do.....
I agree and have been careful to avoid hard breaking so far.

No I ended up getting an auto because that us what the dealer had. The auto has a nice note to it. Could be a little deeper but adequate.

Just a note on the Nissan Nismo wheels that are shown in the Brochure. My dealer informed me that the ones available now are from the 370z stock and are 1/2 inch narrower than the Stock 23 Z wheels. So I am waiting for a Nissan update to see if they are manufacturing a newer version for the 23 Z. I am hoping soon. As I would like to see how she drives with a better tire.
Starting with these Continental DWS006 tires.

Just a few thoughts on initial break in. The owners manual says 1200 miles below 4K rpm’s. Dang I’ve already busted that recommendation severals times? I understand how important break in can be but 1200 is a lot IMHO. My C8 was programmed below 4500rpm for the first 500 miles. Thoughts on this break in period??

Break in is a joke. Full send it if you want things to seat properly.

Excellent choice of tires. I’ve ran the DWS06 on 3 different cars here in the Pacific Northwest. Its a great all season tire that performs well when pushed on performance cars.
