I knew about the engine but I didn't realize he replaced the transmission too. I'm pretty sure they would be doing testing and development on the vr30 in the meantime to see if it can be used for their needs
I know he ripped the car apart and put in some new bits so in not sure either at the moment. Just found out he put out a YouTube series so I'm watching it now and maybe ill find out
During the first weekend of formula drift Chris forsberg started having transmission issues. Today he posted about it being the dog ring on 4th gear causing him to not be able to get it into gear. Is it possible this will only be a high horsepower application issue? Or is it likely to happen...
Those cars are also much more underpowered then the Z will be. If they set up the suspension properly, and give it a nice set of tires off the showroom floor then the Z will be able to handle beautifully.
With the release of GT7, also comes some interesting tid bits of the Z it seems.
Listed at 3402 lbs with 399 hp and 2997 cc
How close do we think the weight will be to the real thing? We know for a fact it's 400 hp and the cc is just under what's been released so how much higher can we expect...
I believe it was already confirmed to have slightly larger displacement so the 405hp they claimed for the Japanese market could be a little more universal then they're advertising
I havent seen anything in the differential but I did find a diagram of the cooling system on the Q60 red sport and it seems the new Z is very beefed up in comparison. (Sorry if it's bad quality but it's all I've found so far)
Now that we have an idea of the new cooling system on the Z, how does it hold up against the current cooling system on the Q50 Red sport? It's a common mod to upgrade their cooling systems. Anyone have any experience with this?
I just got out of the service a week and a half ago. I was a helicopter mechanic but now I'm looking at getting a new job in which I'm leaning towards becoming a diesel tech. Paperwork and sitting around for multiple hours are my personal hell (sorry to those of you that enjoy it)
My one and only car at the moment is named "ghost". A 2017 honda civic that was so quite when I got it (before the modding) that it just seemed like riding in a ghost. Any guesses as to what color she is?
I'm going to wait on the aftermarket options. I'm very partial on the duckbill look but I want to do something different with this car so I may end up with a GT wing with some aggressive aero on the front and a diffuser to match. I plan on taking this car so it should help
I agree to a point with you. 300 hp is definitely too little but staying under 400 would not be a bad call for nissan. Starting at 350 (which will match the outgoing 370) giving the sport around 400, and the nismo closer to 450-475 would be a good enough split to justify the extra money spent on...
This will be my first Z but my first nissan was an 06 Maxima and I absolutely hated it because it had overheating issues and transmission problems shortly after I got it (less then 6 months). I've avoided nissan ever since but Z's have always had my interest
