Yeah... I'm not 100% sure i'm going to use them. Carbotech recommends having them resurfaced at the minimum but I figured on the off chance something is wrong and they find a crack in one of my rotors I need to have a backup ready because chances are i'd have to order at least the front ones
I sent my pads into them back in december so I could get some proper pads for my next track day. I wasn't sure if they were going to offer it up for sale to everyone, but it looks like they came through!
I bought some aftermarket ones from here. They have been a little wonky and seems like they only want to work 75% of the time and other times they just randomly don't show up and I get a TPMS light on the dash. Not a huge deal since I check them before most drives with this anyways but I didn't...
Also realized this could have been posted in the wheels category instead of general but can't figure out how to delete the thread quite yet...
Secondary question, can anyone top my mileage count? I'm at about 13,500 miles now and figured I might just have the highest mileage Z Nismo or close to it ?
Picked these up during their black Friday sale as a second set of dedicated track wheels. I was getting bored driving my Subaru more regularly since it's getting cold, so I figured why not just put some all season tires on for the next few months!

Okay so some terrible photos but from the left side-->N is about 9.5 inches exactly, but the O--->Right side measurement is about an 8th of an inch longer ~9.625 inches. I can get you some better photos tomorrow if it helps.
https://www.knsbrakes.com/products/car/143709_2024+Nissan+Z+Performance+-+NISMO+Spec+with+15"+Front+Rotors/_All+Products KNS brakes added an option for our vehicle on their website now and it looks like we mighthave some better options now at least for the rears. I'm going to send my backing...
Some of the good times at VIR ? All things considered I had some great times and learned a whole lot at my first time ever being to a race track yet alone driving on one
So after inspecting my pads that i brought back home with me it seems like something has gone terribly wrong with my front left brake which is at the top versus front right at the bottom... Is this what delamination looks like?
I managed to make it home safely thankfully. Wound up buying a pair of the front pads that fit the 14" akebono's and they were ever so slightly off with the width so the shop used a dremel so they could fit. I sure didn't do any track driving with those but it got me home thankfully.
I've been looking at every brand I can find and the aftermarket support is very limited from what I can tell. It looks like EBC might have some options but the only website I found selling that part number showed it not currently available. I was told that you can send an old pad in to G-Loc...
So the old 370 akebono pads won't fit? I was looking at the z1 page for the replacement pads '24 Nismo pads and they mentioned specifically that they wont fit the 14" but I wasn't sure if the reverse could still be true. I've been on a wild goose chase calling motorsports teams that run...
I thought i might have found something that would work from advance auto parts in durham but after calling them they said these pads were for a chevrolet even though the website said they fit the Nismo...
I did a 40 minute session in the morning and then 2 x 30 minute sessions after. During the final session of the day my instructor immediately felt something was a little off into the first heavy braking zone and I was at metal on metal in what felt like a couple of turns. I just feel like a...
Hey y'all
So i'm here for my first track day event at VIR and have made a very critical error in not bringing an extra set of brake pads for my car. As you can probably guess, one of my front brake pads is now worn and needs replacement and i'm stuck here at VIR. I have called 4 Nissan...
