Based on historical Z pricing, Nissan eats most of the conversion rate.
I'm not even gonna bother with this car if it's approaching 60, a fully loaded mustang sounds way better, and is more practical. Plus you know...6 piston brakes, adaptive suspension, the stuff that would actually make a...
I was referring to Canadian dollars. I'm sure the US perf models will be lower...
We have our share of problems, but I agree this pre-order setup was epic. My dealer kept telling me how Canadians get screwed on inventory every launch compared to the US to temper my expectations, pretty funny...
Hundo P, still hoping it's under 50 but 52 wouldn't be bad considering how nasty spending 75k + tax on a "competitor" is.
No unsolicited pompous luxury features I don't wanna pay for, and no fancy badge tax either. Not saying I wouldn't take that, I like those cars too but I'm not the average...
The best part by far is how clean it looks. My god, so much delicious real estate without a single weird cut, gouge or fake vent. It looks much more futuristic/expensive in person than I thought it would look. And the hood is very long indeed.
Here's some photos I snapped.
Since January end, when pre-pre-orders opened in Canada. I can call them and have it sent back, but I don't see any point in doing that at the moment.
I think you mentioned you've had a deposit for a year, hope you can get it back if you decide otherwise. It does suck not being able to jump on...
This was exactly my experience seeing it last month. You don't even see the grill when you're standing next to it. And it's not a flat shape, it's angled forward.
Being pessimistic isn't going to help anyone get the Z faster, and it certainly won't help y'all feel better.
I have faith in the timely arrival and affordability of my new Z, and if it isn't meant to be I will be blessed with its equivalent sooner or later. No amount of FUD will change that.
My dealer has been repeating since last year that Nissan really needs Z's on the road to push their new brand image. Therefore I assume our pre-dealer allocation batch will represent those cars. They would then "release" the car aka people see them on the road and can order them. Meanwhile they...
I'd rather go on vacation than mod my car. Seems like a better use for a couple grand. If this was a BRZ, then yeah I'd want to mod it but the Z is very nice as-is.
The list may be numbered, and my guy did say the orders were going in as they were being made, but neither of those necessitates that they are shipped in the same order. Most likely, the timing will depend on what's convenient for their manufacturing as well as targets they probably have for...
This is what I believe too, because my dealer was adamant that no matter what day I came during the "dealer pre-order week", it wouldn't affect my order priority. It was not first come first serve. He said June, and the leaked roadmap also says June too. Now to just wait for the "begun...
As long as it counts towards the purchase of the car, the only barrier to entry is capital, no? Over here the deposit is refundable on demand as well.
Either way I'm glad it's not 2-5K here, I started my job the same day I made my deposit and paying that would not have been fun. This whole car...
I'm not in the US, I'm in Canada. There is no ADM here either. That's precisely why you can guarantee profit if you flip a Z...they will likely be $10-15K over MSRP on Autotrader this year due to short supply. And I don't know what full car lots you're talking about...most car lots in Toronto...
Thinking of just leasing it for a few years, then deciding whether I wanna keep it long-term. It's better to use my capital on more traditional assets, then use some of the capital gains to pay the residual value. Will also allow me to change vehicles if life changes the way it usually does for...
