This reminds me of a story.
I was STARVING one day. I can't remember what day it was, but it was a while back. I had no food in my fridge or pantry. I took my Titan (I needed to change the wheels out on my roller blades and I didn't feel like skating in the rain anyway) to my local Publix...
Y'all need to chill for a sec and breathe.
Sep 2020 was a prototype, not a production preview. Aug 2021 was the production debut. It's been four months since the production debut. You're acting like it was shown to us at the Gettysburg Address.
Production spec car with 6 months...
I completely and wholly disagree with you here. The fact that you're going to get a Tundra instead of a Frontier means you aren't in the market for a mid-sized truck. If you were going to buy a Tacoma, I would say you might have some weight to your sentiments. Maybe they don't build one for...
Great point. I was looking at it more from the business case perspective in that it's more expensive to offer two different configurations, but probably not a big deal when you're accounting for two transmission choices. I'm overthinking it.
He didn't specify if it was exclusive to a transmission choice, so I don't know.
From an engineering standpoint, I do not see a reason why transmission choice would impact a decision to include that.
As far as whether or not it can work in an automatic, there is an aftermarket solution on the...
This issue is addressed with a hardware revision on the turbochargers on the red sport models beginning in MY2019.
What I haven't confirmed is a rumored second hardware revision for MY2021. I'm going to dig into that.
Dan Passe's comment regarding the Z getting a recirculation setup in some...
I hope that Titan reliability you've experienced carries over for my 2020. I'll turn over 20k miles today. I really do like it and if I trade for a Tundra that's going to push my sports car purchase out that much longer. I'm going to put my blinders on against the TRD Pro Tundra. The overall...
If they were available to even purchase outside of the US you mean? Because they're not and they won't ever be.
You never make sense in anything you ask.
The history of the gen 2 Titan is definitely a unique one. They initially had the partnership with Dodge to build gen 2 on Ram 1500 Hemi chassis (pure Ghosn-era Nissan at its finest) and when Chrysler sold in 2009, Sergio axed the crap out of that. So Nissan was already building toward Hemi...
Just curious as to what disappoints you about the Titan... not that I'm looking to fight with you about it or anything. I can understand as I think Nissan did half-ass it and tried to recover with the 2020 (which I have owned a 2017, a 2018, and now my 2020 Pro4X). If they had started with the...
I test drove one when I was going through arbitration on my 17 Titan and sat in the back and couldn't believe how much room there was. It's indeed super nice!
As for this new Tundra... I'll have to see one in person. When your gen initially came out I didn't initially like it but I came...
That is way too much length for me. Wow. Granted the TitanXD is basically the same thing having the 6.5ft bed available on the crew cab. But the cabin is shorter in the Titan so overall length is still shorter than the new Tundra CrewMax with the 6.5ft bed.
The extended cab is even fuglier than the crew cab. WOW. I like the current gen Tundra much better.
They're going to sell a ton of them, and as a Titan owner, I'm a bit jealous that Toyota eschewed the leaf springs for coil-on-spring a la Ram, but I'll keep my Pro4X all day long over that.
