  1. Hands Up all the Aussies

+1. I think there’s been way more effort out in than it just being a motorswapped 370. If that’s the argument, what’s so special about this year’s Cayman vs previous models? I’m guessing that’s the car being alluded to. To me the answer is nothing, which is why I wasn’t that keen on one-I...
  2. Savagegeese Nissan Z Full Technical and Driving Review

Thanks for the great review + video, pretty amazing effort! I think you really captured some of the things that drew me to this car. Last time I had a sports car was ~10 years ago, and I definitely found without being on a track, there's only so many times you can go flat out before running out...
  3. Hands Up all the Aussies

Reviews look great, plenty fast enough. Looks like it’ll be really fun to drive, can’t wait to see one in the flesh!
  4. Hands Up all the Aussies

Good luck with the purchase, Tassie will be an epic place for driving this car! I'm planning a road trip down there next year with a few others, looking forward to it!
  5. Hands Up all the Aussies

Hey Sam, same-I think this car should be a classic so I’m planning on keeping for a long time. Nice colour choice too, I’m going blue but love gunmetal grey as well!
  6. Hands Up all the Aussies

Will be interesting to see if we get the same option for an aftermarket Nismo exhaust, looks like Japan and US is at launch. There’s another thread on here that’s confirmed the manual performance grade definitely comes with a quieter one stock, due to more restrictive noise testing...
  7. Hands Up all the Aussies

Couldn't quite see the speakers in the doors to see what they've put in, hoping we still get the Bose set.
  8. Hands Up all the Aussies

From your work in a paint shop, what's your thoughts on ceramic coatings & wraps for a car that won't be daily driven--is there any point getting it done, or is a regular wash & polish enough?
  9. Why the long delay in pricing?

In Aus there’s a wide possible gap in pricing. Guesses on the price are pretty close to our luxury car tax threshold, so if it goes over a certain amount it’ll automatically jump quite a lot more due to this. Therefore actually knowing the price would be pretty handy given how close it is to...
  10. See the 2023 Nissan Z in CA & Vegas Next Month / Other Auto Show Appearances

Oh it’s just coincidence! Got lucky that it lined up with another trip. Pretty stoked.
  11. See the 2023 Nissan Z in CA & Vegas Next Month / Other Auto Show Appearances

I’ve booked! Hopefully will be visiting from Aus. I think it’s Sunday morning…or hope so as I get in Saturday night. Looking forward to actually seeing the car!
  12. Hands Up all the Aussies

With all the talk of price gouging & cars...have any of you seen what Suzuki Jimnys have been selling for in Aus! There's a few on there for 50k. Didn't they used to be ~20K?
  13. What will stop you from owning the new Z?

Hmmm…I’m starting to feel like the Z never actually getting released will prevent me from owning it.
  14. Hands Up all the Aussies

Yeah I got the impression they were planning a similar style of launch to what you mentioned with the Yaris.
  15. Hands Up all the Aussies

Personally I’m not expecting they’ve actually got an order in the system. I remember talking to a large Melbourne dealer about it pretty early on and he said it’s basically meaningless. I just threw a deposit down in the hope they call me first, but I don’t think anything is actually official...
  16. Hands Up all the Aussies

No but another dealer did mention that they'd be doing a driveaway price offer on launch, I asked this guy about it and he said he can't confirm or deny lol.
  17. Hands Up all the Aussies

I just got a call from my dealer saying we can now pre-order the Z & would I like to put one in. I've had one in since August 21.....
  18. First ride along in 2023 Z (Automatic Passion Red)

To clarify, enough noise for me would just be what we've seen of the auto in sport mode. I won't be modifying, so some decent sound stock would be preferable to a restricted exhaust setup.
  19. First ride along in 2023 Z (Automatic Passion Red)

I think the issue is that without the active exhaust the manual performance is going to be quieter/restricted, going off videos/reports.
  20. ⏱ 2023 Nissan Z Launch Timeline Schedule - SOP, Media First Drives, Sales Start

Ah right, thanks. Weird that the sporty one might be a bit restricted.
