  1. "Everyone Is Wrong About The Z’s Grille, Nissan Got It Right The First Time"

You must have Photoshop on speed dial! 🤣
  2. "Everyone Is Wrong About The Z’s Grille, Nissan Got It Right The First Time"

Hi @ill-legal?, sorry for pirating your photo (BTW, the NISMO bumper looks great.), but your photo makes it super easy to see why the license plate bracket is mounted higher: the beak (or nose) is longer.
  3. Real world debut of 2027 Z in Japan with new start up animation

Although this is kinda strange. The new plate holder seems to stick up above the beak a little bit. Not as much as the NISMO, but more then the original.
  4. Real world debut of 2027 Z in Japan with new start up animation

I think the new grille looks good.
  5. Fuel rail leakage

The warranty running dry is one of the factors making me think about other cars. My Z's warranty did just expire, and, if I'm honest, I'm worried about the Z becoming a money pit and a time sink. I bought the car to drive, but not back and forth to the shop every other week. The G37 and G35 I...
  6. Fuel rail leakage

Yeah, you can certainly throw the Z into a corner. The M4 is 300 lbs heavier, and about 100 lbs heavier than my former G37. Still...
  7. Fuel rail leakage

My car has been in the shop for a week now. The dealership was nice enough to provide a Nissan Kicks service vehicle. Being without the Z for a week has given me plenty of time to think about... ...replacing it with another car. This looks nice.
  8. Fuel rail leakage

Update on this. It seems like they started her up today. Maybe it didn't go so well...
  9. Snagged a Seiran Blue / Graphite Performance 6MT

Well, here we are. I’ve owned my 2023 Performance Z 6MT (two-tone Seiran Blue TriCoat / Super Black, Graphite Leather interior) for three years now. She's racked up 13,807 miles. I bought my Z when they were very hard to find and dealers were applying large mark ups, but by scouring Nissan’s...
  10. Fuel rail leakage

Well...yes. They diagnosed it while it was in a "bay", and then rolled it outside because they needed the bay for other cars. They'll roll it back into the bay overnight, they said. You can see the intake ports into the heads are covered with tape (yellow in the photo), so the internals of the...
  11. Fuel rail leakage

Another update: Car is disassembled waiting for parts. I'm driving a Nissan Kicks loaner. It's interesting to see the shared DNA in the digital instrument cluster. @FSUZ33, it could be. The first repair fixed an upstream fuel line. This made the gasoline smell worse. Then that was...
  12. Fuel rail leakage

Latest update is that the techs think a fuel injector is leaking, found via fuel dye test. Couple of days to tear things down and figure out which parts to order. Might get it back by Thursday.
  13. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

Absolutely. On the street this car can go from legal to illegal in 1.7 seconds.
  14. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

It would certainly add weight, and the Z is already front heavy, not to mention, where would you put the gear? The Z isn't known for having extra space up front. It would basically be a new car, and could cannibalize the theoretical future GT-R. Probably will never happen.
  15. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

I think you could drive a Z under that truck.
  16. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

That would generate serious interest from me. Maybe an option for the NISMO.
  17. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

I'm not one to poo poo more power, but what good is it if you just burn up your rear tires? It seems like adding more power to the Z is like adding more blue to the sky. What the Z needs is a way to put that power to the asphalt. Who's in for an AWD Z?
  18. Is the Z accident prone?

Since mid-March, I've been in two situations that make me think my Z might be accident prone due to its size. First, a truck bumps into me while it was backing out of a parking space in the parking lot at work. My detailer was able to clean this up, and it looks like new. However, the driver...
  19. Offical Wild Z Sighting Thread

I don't consider this to be "in the wild", but I saw my first Z NISMO today when I dropped my car off for service. The visual differences between the NISMO and a Performance or Sport were much more subtle than I expected. The grille, the canards, the wrap around rear spoiler, the diffuser, etc...
