I looked through the service manual hoping to find a diagram of this area, but the closest thing I could find was the engine cooling diagram.
I guess there must be a valve and a radiator from point A to point B in the diagram that is incorrectly open for the HVAC mode you're using.
You can get this on the "enhanced" meter view (at least on my '23 Performance). But the "enhanced" meter view is my least favorite. I haven't seen it on the "standard" meter view. Maybe another software upgrade on newer models (like outside temperature on the "sport" meter view on 2024 and newer).
On the other hand, I ended up buying my Z at the wrong scale. My other models are 1/18.
This one looks really good: https://www.makeupcoltd.co.jp/products/detail/1317
Back when I did my original research, Discount Tire didn't really have the tires I wanted, and nothing has really changed since then. The front tires from Discount Tire are the Ford OE variant. The backs don't have an OEM designation.
If I head over to Tire Rack, I can find what I want. Here's...
I get this too in certain traffic situations. For example, I'll be at a stop light (stopped), and a car will approach my rear quarter panel, and the sensor will go off. If I'm moving (even not parking), I'm okay if the sensor beeps.
They're still pretty rare. I've seen only 1 in the wild. And 5 at dealers (including mine) since 2023.
I was at a dealer yesterday having my oil changed. Last time I was there, they had two Zs in the showroom. Yesterday their sole Z was outside, and the brake rotors had a visible rust patina...
Thanks! My Z is actually super dirty in this picture. I got rained on driving home from work last night. You can see detritus hanging down behind the rear tires. And don't take a close look at the grove across the rear bumper.
As for the color issue: we'll have to agree to disagree.
Oil change #5 at about 9300 miles and almost two years.
In other news: the safety inspection reports my original Protenzas are down to 3/32s in the rear. Woo hoo! Time for some new tires. PS4s, here I come.
Does the Performance ship with the front spring blocks that have been mentioned a few times on this forum? If so, perhaps they haven't been removed yet.
Other ideas for what you could control with such a switch:
Bullet-proof shield that pops up out of the hatch area.
Shredders that extend out of the wheel hubs.
Machine guns that hide behind the headlights.
And the ever popular: submarine mode.
