I’ve seen several videos by engineers that say going up on the second number (the 20) is fine as long as you stick to the first number (0). First number is the base oil weight. 2nd number is a chemical formulation that changes how the oil behaves at high temps.
Did several WOT throttle pulls, the car feels "snappier", there seems to be less of a delay in boost kicking in, it's noticeable to me for sure. Placebo effect maybe but I don't think so!
And the sound wow, even with the lids on the Mishimoto CAI increases the turbo sound quite a bit.
I did...
love That!
I have not driven it yet, test drive later tonight. Taking a break to let Tylenol kick in and watch some Gator BB.
Ill let you know if I feel it!
Thought I would spend the day with the Z. Did the Mishimoto catch can and cold air intake today. Catch can took right at 2 hours, CAI took 2 hours 40 minutes. Getting the intercooler off and on was by far the hardest part of these two jobs. Second most difficult part is tightening the worm...
I have taken mine to a couple. All stock except under cover and carbon under the hood.
People love it. As said above, I meet many people who did not know the car existed.
Heck I did not know it existed until I happened to be a in a Nissan showroom one day.
I've watched every video I can find on it, looks like the best way is a flat head screwdriver on opposite sides of the spring clip at the same time with a second person pulling up on the airbox.
I just saw this I'm sure you've got it by now.
On the K&N can you service the filters without...
All I can add is my own experience. I have owned cars for 40 years and have never had an engine failure of any kind. All I do is change the oil every 10k miles and use full synthetic. That's all I do and I have a 2002 Explorer with 320k and a 1993 Miata with 220k currently, I've owned both...
I got a complimentary 3 years of oil changes and tire rotations at the dealer on the 2023 Sentra so Im using that.
All other vehicles I've never had anyone do an oil change in 20 years, I always do it myself.
I just cannot stand the inevitable missing bolts/screws from undercovers and 5,000...
However long it takes me to put it in R or D, whichever is appropriate, and hit the gas.
I do admittedly drive for a Mile or two gently on cold mornings before I will start to get spirited, just because I try to be nice to my cars.
These are the ones I ordered after doing all the measurements, they work great.
If you are tight on space order the two piece units.
Race Ramps 56" 10.8 degree approach
I used super tech 0/20 full synthetic. I will most likely start using 5/30 on my next change and I am also thinking about doing the catch can. Someone on here even said there is a tech bulletin with Nissan that says 5/30 should be used at Australia dealerships.
I know some people hate on...
