Back in the USA a few months after having visited Australia in 2019 (Sydney area), I got a letter from a New South Wales enforcement entity, containing a traffic violation ticket for $200! I thought about not paying, but there was a threat of later not being let back into the country someday...
Boulder Gray indoor (Chicago Auto Show photo) vs outdoor (from other thread). The color appears quite different depending on lighting (and probably camera settings).
Do you know if any other Z's will be on display? I'm attending the show with my wife this weekend, in part to nudge her on board with a possible future Z purchase. And that bluish gray or whatever won't cut it.
Hoping the Z doesn't go like the Ford Bronco launch. I'm a long time open-top 4x4 owner and off-roader, and the Bronco launch with delays (chips and stuff), component (hard top) issues, and extended period of big spenders ruling the roost, has been a downer. It's taking seemingly forever to burn...
This 370Z owner removed the items and foam blocking from under the stock rear deck, and installed some fitted carpet. Seems to provide a decent cargo space increase:

Interesting, apparently some 370Z owners remove the spare/foam/etc under the rear deck, to gain more cargo space. Below is a photo of the possible space gained, from a guy who was adding sound deadener.

Dang, that Nissan rear deck is high. :(
The vehicle length and wheelbase of the Z and my BRZ are nearly the same, but the latter manages a serviceable truck and rear seat that can be used in a pinch or for cargo.
I wonder what Nissan is using all that space for under the rear deck? I assumed...
A weekly grocery run, and a 32 truck tire transport (barely fit, needed to air tire down) in my BRZ trunk. Fortunately the back seat provides additional room.
Hoping to make due with the Nissan Z hatch area, and additional area just behind the seats. Looking forward to seeing the Z in person...
Nice. The Z will be more fun for my family, if we can take it on some vacations and such.
Last summer our BRZ was workable (with some careful packing) for 2 occupants on a week+ trip from Chicago to Colorado (with camping gear and all). And a fishing trip to the U.P. with a cooler and all our...
Similar situation, I'm interested in a performance road vehicle, but it doesn't have to be top performance. Meaning, if it's several tenths of a second slower or whatever, compared to some competing vehicle, I'm fine with that. In fact, hopefully by not redesigning everything new for the...
I'm in a similar boat, and given lack of utility value with 2-seater and limited cargo room, every grand higher in cost, seems much more impactful. To the point I'd have trouble spending on a vehicle with limited utility value, if the price got too high.
While I highly doubt the 30k price...
Not a golfer either. But reality for me, having decent cargo space would be nice, and open up the opportunities to use the Z. For going on vacation (packing light), getting groceries or whatever. My BRZ is workable for that stuff, with two occupants and having the trunk/back seat. Been able to...
When you say "you can't order a new Z in the USA", do you mean initially? Or do you mean even down the road in say, 2023 or 2024?
I'm not familiar buying a Nissan, but I expected after the initial rush, once things settled down, it would be like ordering any other new vehicle?
Also regarding...
In terms of practicality for road tripping or just getting groceries, how do you think the new Nissan Z will compare to the BRZ? That rear hatch package area on the Z looks kind of small.
My BRZ has been usable for two person fishing/camping trips from Chicago to the U.P. and also Colorado...
At least you guys aren't having to deal with the Ford Bronco reservation mess. I'm happy the Z will have a more traditional launch without an early reservation scheme.
