So I got a set of these from Amazon for like $28 shipped. The pen is pointing to the tab I think needs filed off. There's 2 of them 180° apart. What's holding me back is I need a pair of dial calipers bc I think the overall OD is minutely larger than the wheel opening. The caps snap in...
Yesterday I tried fitting some knockoff Rays 57 series centercaps...they might fit with some filing on the backside, there's 2 tabs I think need removed and then it "might" fit. But I didn't want to risk it bc then I couldn't return them.
This style:
I might try again later if I find...
My last 3 cars didn't have heated seats, I'm sure my wife's glad to not hear me complaining about not having them anymore! But my last 2 cars did have the heated steering wheel...she might hear me complain about not having that now :ROFLMAO:
Ya know, I'm not sure. It's pretty dark. I don't think it's 5% tho. The car was already tinted when I got it. My local dealer got it from another dealer so I don't have a way of knowing who tinted the car. They did a great job though. So I don't know if my guy just put what he thought...
Windshield tint strip done today, had it done level with the bottom of the review mirror. It looks real low in pics but doesn't come down to my line of sight.
Thanks! I ordered them and then looked at more pics and then was unsure. I installed them when they came in and I thought, hmmm...I love the fronts but I "like" the rears. But today and the more I look at it, I LOVE the rears...like you said, it makes the back end. Very happy.
That plate...
Yesterday I added the splash guards. I really like them a lot although I know the rears are hit or miss for some ppl.
Today I filled up for the first time and I can tell the engine is responding differently, lots better. I'm sure the ding-dongs at the dealer filled up with cheap gas. Glad to...
Put some yellow ones on it!
On a black car, they might be one of those things only you notice. They do add to the profile on the back, especially from straight on.
1st "mod" to a car I said I was gonna keep all stock lol
The install wasn't bad once I figured out my plan of attack; the install website isn't working and the templates weren't as accurate as I think they should be so I tossed them out.
I love the fronts and I really "like" the rears, I think...
Ya know, that's my thoughts exactly. I told my wife I was looking for a "driver's car," something more analog. The Z isn't exactly analog, I know...but it's much simpler and straight forward than the Mustang. I'm scared to turn the TC off until I get used to the powerband, which might be a...
Thanks man!
Those are cool, although a bit pricey. I didn't even know those existed. I was able to get a set of factory lugs today though. I didn't feel comfortable driving the car anywhere once I realized the wrong lug nuts were on it.
Ok, thanks for posting that. I didn't realize the single overdrive vs the double overdrive on the Mustang but I figured gearing was probably part of the equation, plus the power band being different like you say with the NA vs turbo torque. It was just real surprising to me and the automatic Z...
Now THAT is a good looking car! I like the black lugs, I'm gonna have to do that.
You'll have to update when you do the springs, I'm considering that as well. I think it's gonna look sick!
Ahhh, I remember seeing those now. I've looked at so many things for this car this week, I can't keep it all straight lol! Thanks for the link! Any pics on the car?
Thanks! I just went out to the car and tried it and the tach stayed at 0 so I guess there's not a tune. I've had 3 S550 Mustangs with manual trans, the one I traded for the Z was a Mach 1 with the Tremec. The Z feels like it pulls harder. It's making (by my guess from what I've read online)...
