  1. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Finish the second one - lol I was just messing around with it. hit the can with mothers mag polish & white diamond metal polish w/ a little elbow grease - wire brushed the welds and hand wet sanded the pipes 180\600\1000\2000 (what i had on hand).
  2. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Still waiting on my lowers, so decided to clean up my exhaust lol - got one of the mufflers so far..
  3. Did my 1200 mile oil change today

Same here - 6 qt. puts me at the full tick mark on the dip stick. The made in japan filters by Mahle can be found on ebay…. Not a fan of anything out of Mexico. i also prefer the Japanese text on the filter. I‘m sure the Mexico filters are as good as any, but i will use the japan filters as...
  4. Toyota GR Corolla vs Nissan Z

Negative - you would find me at the palomino club (east coast) on bikers night with DAC & jeff cook on the stage. - my friend said the smoke was so thick you could cut it with a knife…
  5. Toyota GR Corolla vs Nissan Z

for this debate the answer boils down to the answer of this question … when someone asks at the bar - what do you drive? i drive a corolla.. lanser civic cobolt. or a z
  6. Placing a Nissan Z on Jack Stands

awesome video... maybe you can share another vid using standard ramps for oil changes… I loved the location for the front jack stands. However the pinch weld “flange” is not designed for support. There is a pad/lift point just inside of the flange. The flange itself is just for locating the...
  7. Downpipes & Best Practices

awesome - how hard were stud bolt nuts to remove on the oem cats? did you use hand wrenches or impact tool? the ams instructions make me believe they are a pain…
  8. Does the AT exhaust setup fit the MT version of the car?

I have the A/T muffler on an otherwise stock M/T. Definitely an increase in volume and still looks stock. not bad overall. But they are a couple of quirks… when cruising and light acceleration at 3K+ the tone is not that pleasing. Also, the exhaust makes a single thumping sound “thump’...
  9. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Grew up a chevy fan - But i have a soft spot for the 80’s 5.0 rust-stang (but not enough to buy one) after test driving a brand new ‘85 and took it to near top speed - it pegged the 85mph speedo in 2nd with 3 more gears to go - lol. On the test drive, dumped the clutch and it would not move on...
  10. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

I think awe has them beat on sound and drone.. I didn’t like the N1’s spring / sliding design for the flex connectors on the Y section. Magnaflow - i did not like the anti-drone cans at the exit but i do like their v-band connections. lol I was concerned with the size of the x-pipe section...
  11. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

spanked a 3.3 stinger - pulled about 5-6 car lengths in 4th. he was better than i thought excellent choice - i was close to going with the N1
  12. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Yo - you need a evo for the tesla - lol Evo McLaren M3
  13. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

I pissed off one on the interstate in my taco - he disappeared on a 2-3 mile straight section in a blink - I’m guess the Z could run the battery down and force it into limp mode - lol what brand of charger? I was on the development & manufacturing team for residential & commercial chargers...
  14. Downpipes & Best Practices

I’m referring to the oem bracket that mounts to the frame. -it’s made of sheet metal (die stamping) and will easily bend when removing the stock lowers.
  15. Downpipes & Best Practices

i would not call that a fitment issue - did they explain why they gave up so easily? What‘s puzzling to me is - racebox sells b6a & spool products on their website. Seem like they could have pickup the phone and called for support? it‘s highly possible the brackets could easily be bent from...
  16. Toyota GR Corolla vs Nissan Z

If i was going this route, i would go with a CTR/ITS for the tuning platform.. personally i prefer the old school rwd and double wishbones up front. Not a fan of struts & fwd based awd setups.
  17. Downpipes & Best Practices

Brackets were bent during the removal process…
  18. Downpipes & Best Practices

B6 said they fit with pics and now they fit no problems. There never was an issue…
  19. Downpipes & Best Practices

I agree - my best guess is the oem bracket is bent during the removal process. The bracket (frame side) looks weak and easily bent. The spool race/non-resonator lowers are reported to fit just fine.
  20. Downpipes & Best Practices

Hats off to B6 pics and calling bs. now it magically fits… ufb…. Assuming the spool fit as well… That was my original thought after looking at the brackets - can’t be that hard to bend/tweak/beat the brackets into submission.
