I used this, finished the install this morning. The only pain was trying to pinout the harness at the rearview.

@FSUZ33 his response is correct from all I have read, if you are in the US, you have these. This is because we have stupid people that will sue if you run them over (not intentionally of course).
When I was stationed in Germany, if the pedestrian crossed outside the crosswalk or against the...
I only have 3 wires and even the cell phone cam can't see a difference between the two greens.
Small paper clips will work, took a lazy day since this is the 4th.
Yep, paper clips it is. I only have three wires, the ground is obvious (black), so if I take the MM to one side, I will know the other is the hot/ign.
I appreciate the feedback to know I am on the right track ... always good to have a different perspective. @thesilverbullet
Thinking paper clips to find the pinouts, the ground is obvious ... idk why Nissan used green on the other wires. I am breathing deeply, focusing and then digging in. Three wires, is easy ... leaning against the dash, contorded at 55+ ... not fun.
I still love this car and blowing away the GenZ...
So, my original question ... how can I open the connector, without destroying it? I can see two small plastic 'pins' on each side of the connector, but it won't open far enough to use the probes to find the always hot/not hot. When I install the final part, I want it to be clean ... within the...
My problem is my multimeter probes are too big to find the always hot vs. the igniton on. I have a way around that now, with a three day weekend ... I know I can get it done. I bought these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082V1245P?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
so I know I can get this to...
I am an old man and can't really see how to: "If you have trouble, you can snap open the wire connector drop in the wire tap pins and close the connector which will clamp the wire tap and give a better connection."
Any insights on how-to would be appreciated! I am trying not to destroy the...
So, I am an old man compared to most people in the forum. Even with my cell phone cam, I can only see one black wire, the other two (in my case) are both green. The probes on my MM are too big to get a good reading of which green wire is always on. I spoke with a couple of friends on a way to...
Initial thoughts, it is too "noisy", not as bad as Waze, but I find it irritating compared to Google Maps. I don't need to know 7 miles out of my next exit. I'll assume it is learning and keep trying to see if it improves at all.
Agreed, This is my first Nissan ever. Like I said, my base was a 21 year old car. I love the Z so far, comapred to a Neon ... epically a step newer. The camera is 10x better than my wife's 2015 Chrylser 200c. Still learning and truly appreciate all inputs from the forums! Always open to learning...
I agree, the audio is lacking considering it is Bose ... I expected more. As for the back up camera, I drove a 2003 Dodge Neon for 21 years before buying my Z ... so, I didn't have any cameras or any driver assist. That being said ... never had a ticket or accident either. I am saving up bail...
Curious, I have been looking for hood dampers too. Not much selection out there, but the Kanjo's seem the easiest to install. I, (like you) are still shopping the market, we can't be the only two on Earth thinking the same.
