Hello!

Anyone know how to get all the lug nuts off the stock exhaust? Nissan really tightened up those lug nuts on the stock exhaust system. I even used a power drill to take off the lug nuts but did not work. Did they weld the lug nuts when they installed the stock exhaust system for the 2024 Nissan Z???

Thanks!

Are you making sure to hold the nut on the back while loosening them? If not they will just spin. If your car is new they should come off quite easily.

There is no nut on the back. It's a smooth rivet with nothing to hold. I believe Nissan weld all the lug nuts for all the 2024 Nissan Z.

Maybe Nissan don't want you to change the stock exhaust system.

Plenty of people have changed exhausts. Try to take a picture of what you’re talking about so members can help.

Every bolt on the Z is very, very tight. Thers nothing falling off a Z. Get a longer wrench to get more leverage.

I attached 2 pictures for everyone to look at. One picture is showing the back of the lug nut and the other picture is the front of the lug nut. I put the red squares so you know what I am talking about.

Thanks!

I used a power drill and it did nothing to the lug nut. Do you really think a longer wrench is stronger than a power drill? Maybe my power drill is not powerful enough. Anyone know a good powerful drill?

Depending on what type and size impact "drill" you are using. Some are really weak. Get a long wrench or a breaker bar and put some muscle on it to crack it loose. Then you can run it off with the power tool.

Please see the attached 2 pictures of the 2 tools I used to try and take off the lug nut. I don't know much about power drill tool so I am not sure if my power drill is powerful or weak???

How long of a wrench are you talking about so I can buy it. I did not know they make longer wrench than what I have at home.

IDK but that looks like a regular drill, not for taking off bolts. Get the ratchet and put a small pipe on it to add leverage, I would say 15-20" long. Or use your foot to crack it loose. Your leg is 10x stronger than you arm.

I took another look at the power drill and you are correct, it is a regular drill. I will look into getting a power drill for taking off bolts. Do you know a good power drill to take off bolts?

I also will look into getting a 20" ratchet and a 20" breaker bar. I will try those 2 tools and let you know if I need additional help.

Thanks!

Ahh yeah its definitely going to be tough with that, you have no leverage. As others mentioned, get a long breaker bar or a good impact gun. I like to use a combo of both.
