@SDate42 what state / city Are you in if you don’t mind sharing?Hey all! First post, figured I’d weigh in.
I put down a $1000 deposit May 22 approx. Within a week of the prices being released, which notably has changed/increased. At that time, my local dealer advised that they were not allowed to take deposits any earlier than the price release, which looking at this thread obviously wasn’t true for all dealers.
Late 22, I was told that I had missed out on a Proto when Nissan started cutting peoples orders and capping the amount being sold. Bit cheeky if you ask me.
last weekend, the 27th, I took delivery of a Proto Z, as a result of merging dealers and someone pulling out. I also happened to be pre-approved for finance and knew a salesman quite well, so a few factors working together.
Now I have seen a few non-proto Z’s on the street, unsure if theyre demos or not. I have seen one other proto, that I know was delivered. The dealer demos are supposedly all non-proto. The dealer also mentioned that their demos have to be demos for minimum 9months. This same dealer sold their demo the day after it was eligible for sale, there’s definitely demand.
I should mention when I got mine, there was a proto and non proto both ready for delivery in the showroom also.
last note, the dealer principal mentioned there’s 146 Protos allocated to Australia - no idea how to verify this information.
cheers!
I am stoked! It’s a manual, and I reckon it suits the car really well, despite being fractionally slower than the auto option.Either way a very positive post …which makes a nice change
Congratulation! How are you liking it so far?
Great to hear you’re enjoying it.. im glad the wait paid off for you.I am stoked! It’s a manual, and I reckon it suits the car really well, despite being fractionally slower than the auto option.
The non-proto for delivery was grey+auto, and the other proto was auto.
I’m based out of Sydney, NSW.
Aaaannndd also important to mention, I had surgery on my right wrist literally the day before delivery so I haven’t driven the car yet. I have done all 300kms as a passenger - the missus is a big fan of the car?
Yep. My manual sat in the garage for a month after being delivered to the house by the dealer. Enjoying it now though. Can’t wait to get it to 2000km and give it a decent thrashing.Great to hear you’re enjoying it.. im glad the wait paid off for you.
As I suspected..another grey coupe
What is it with you guys breaking your wrists, I mean I’ve heard the bike crash excuse from Hammo…but I mean how did you really do the damage ?????
It was work related, so trust me when I say I’ve heard all the insinuations possible from my employer and colleagues ?What is it with you guys breaking your wrists, I mean I’ve heard the bike crash excuse from Hammo…but I mean how did you really do the damage ?????
For taxes they would have to adjust either way. The retail price would be a different story.I was told, note this was verbal not written
that when signingif costs went up that I got the contract price not the revised one.
but if it went down they would honor it.
no idea ifit will happen but if above does drop price I will be consulting with them on it.
I was told (verbally) this as well. The dealer was a multi franchise and wanted to point out there were other brands where they were unable to honour the price if there was an increase. I will certainly be hitting my dealer up for the reduction if eligible.I was told, note this was verbal not written

looking at the actual contract that makes complete sense. For taxes they would have to adjust either way. The retail price would be a different story.
I don't think the Z has much of a LCT component in the current driveaway price. Just bear in mind that LCT isn't paid on stamp duty / licensing etc.looking at the actual contract that makes complete sense.
so yes looks like a 2k discount.
off my contract looks close enough to 2K for me, better than a poke in the eye with a VWI don't think the Z has much of a LCT component in the current driveaway price. Just bear in mind that LCT isn't paid on stamp duty / licensing etc.
