Hm, that's definitely interesting. I'm wondering if that's just the social media team not really knowing what's going on, and shooting ya any message? 300 sounds like a shot in the dark. I know the first lot of pre-orders are "sold" out, I think the next batch may be summer. I've been keeping my eyes on the Nissan Canada website, and they had originally listed the Z as "available spring 2022" and after that first pre-order launch, it's been changed to "available summer 2022". I think right now it's anyones guess

I better be one of the 300 because I ordered in that 1 week window before you could even pre order it online.

Haha, same. I was into my dealership in Jan to "put my name on a list", then was contacted by the sales manager the week before the online pre-order thing went live that he was able to submit my order through their portal to Nissan, and wanted to confirm a few things before firing it off.

Same. Let's get a tally of users on the 2 forums that have done the same and we will know if this 300 number stacks up.

I wonder if you should start a thread in the Canada forum section. My order for the blue/blue performance was submitted to Nissan on Jan 29th

I cannot tell which dealer mine is, but he said he had 12 pre-orders from that week - this dealer is in the GTA (not downtown).

We can start a thread, I'm lazy af to do it though ngl

Just got word from my dealer this morning. They got notification that the Production on the Z is set and should be expected between July-Sept due to parts supply and chip shortage. He said it was "Pushed back a month" . I'm wondering if this will affect the initial pre-order, or only the general dealer stock. At any rate, Sept is quite late.. Almost the end of the 22' driving season :(

I agree. If I don’t get it by Canada day I’m cancelling my pre order.

I still don't think I'll be cancelling the order, still pretty committed to the car, I mean I don't NEED it, I just want it

Yeah it's sad :( He's hoping to hear any info, and said he'll let me know as soon as he knows anything. via Insider or Nissan. I'm deep down hoping the notification they received is a general dealer wide notification that the car is delayed production, kind of like the USA. But, whether that affects those initial pre-orders, or pre-website-preorders or not, I don't know. Maybe those initial wave of pre's will sneak through before general production, one can only hope! Sept is a long wait. Drive it for maybe a month, and garage it till spring, haha Poor car.

300 is a very respectable number for Nissan given the market and pass production numbers.
300 units will ensure they fulfill the need in canada well selling all units and not having them sit on the lot. I think the 350 and 370 had under 500 units sold the first year … and with the economy currently going into the tank I think it’s a smart move from Nissan. I have mine orders since the second day dealers opened and contemplating if I should cancel or not… the manual supra is appealing and at this rate will be here before the Z ? .. decisions decisions
