Yea I definitely ordered an automatic, last I spoke to the dealer they had the NSW head of Nissan in there discussing it all. Have been assured that I’ll be one of the first in line ? won’t hold my breath but hopefully we see some cars rolling in a few weeks

Ha, but yeah, I ordered a MT proto back in the first week of October. Id have to go back through everything, but i may have "reserved" it before that and simply was given my Nismo Auto 370z contract with details of the manual proto z contained within in that first week. Alls I remember is something major happened and I'm near on certain it was me receiving that contract.

Been a bit of a piss take since then, but alas, its not all bad though, hopefully the secondary market will snap it up if I can't handle not actually driving the damn thing ?

@Ballast Scorcher manual or auto there’s only 240 available, you won’t loose a dime on this I reckon. Performance auto may be a hard sell but proto there’s only 240 ever produced. And now 12-18 months wait. You’d be fine my man

On a positive note, my yards sales manager did say they'd have dealer allocations by July with releases August-September so hopefully with this movement in the end of June, that release window still works.

I'm still wondering how I'll get the damn thing to kalgoorlie. The highway gets shit after Merredin. Be good to fly back from port hedland, pick it up and drive the 6hrs to Kal though. Will probably truck it though..

Nah I’m just finding the process frustrating and if dealers are telling me Nissan Aus is doing it in order of dates placed I wanted to see if that really checks out
I don’t mind if I’m not first, as long as I actually get a car in the first drop, along with @jezzza I think we have both waited long enough. Itmakes sense that they can lock in Protos first if Nissan have told each dealer how many they are getting…but I would hope that the first shipment of the coupes are with the Protos…and if not that I at least get a car on the first coupe shipment

Nah, the auto will be fine. I'm only taking the piss with it. I'm 34 and heading into my Twilight years. I can't be mucking around moving a gear selector and pushing a clutch pedal.

Well they wouldn’t want me…I chased the dealer off that was pretending to be here for the good of all, funny enough on Facebook he has wriggled out of the promised 5k cap of dealer delivery…but don’t get me started on that again, coz I’ll most likely get kicked off?
