I can't even remember a time when U-Haul trucks came in manual.

Not really irrelevant since there was no time frame on the question. Reading the page for that choice, the person apparently had a big U-Haul truck booked, but the booking got lost and as a replacement they were given a larger, but old 1980's manual, truck instead - that's the one they are complaining about.
