That's exactly what made it closer to the original comics and therefore a better "Batman" than any of the later hyper-realistic, hyper-violent versions. The "Dark Knight" is an entirely different comic book, so shouldn't really be considered "Batman" at all. It's actually the old animated shows that are the best.Too silly for my taste.
