Decided to go this route for now. The will free up some money for other things. Possibly downpipes and a tune, or lowering springs...

Hopefully this will be an improvement over stock.

Z23 pads use the exact same compound as the Z26 pads, but come with a rubberized steel shim vs. a stainless steel shim. Otherwise, identical. I had the Z26 on my C7 and Z23 on my C8.

That's what I was reading. So performance should be nearly identical, but hopefully quieter. I had the Z26 on my 2020 PP2 Mustang and my 2018 Mustang GT. They were a tad squeaky but not terrible.

What was your experience with the 2?

Zero difference in feel on the street. For the cost savings, the Z23 pad are the better buy. Get a few packets of synthetic brake grease from the auto parts store since PowerStop doesn't include enough. When I upgrade to the Z1 2-peiece rotors I'll likely swap on a set of PowerStops at the same time since the Akebono pads suck.

Z1 had all 4 2 piece rotors listed on their clearance deals yesterday. Fronts/rears. Used pieces. Looked good but I'm unsure how you or I would feel about used rotors. Kinda tempting though, I think they are 10# lighter each side on the front, not sure about the back. I was mainly looking for a front brake upgrade at this time.

I'll get the grease. Good call. Opinion on hard or braided lines?

Edit. Well if I'm swapping lines, there's no use unless I'm doing all 4. Not sure I want to get that deep into this thing.

Skip the brake lines. I went down that route once and regretted it.

My plan is to pickup the complete set on their Black Friday sale this year and make that my winter project.

If I’m going to seriously get back into golf as a hobby, I might want to find a bag more suitable to the Z. But it does fit and I can close the hatch. Even if I got a smaller bag, I don’t know how you’re supposed to get 2 bags in there.
My G35 coupe had a diagram for the correct way to position two golf bags! I thought it was funny. I definitely was not Infiniti's target buyer at the time.

I’ve got 3 screwdrivers wedged in this POS ring holding my pax airbox on WTF is wrong that it won’t come off? Driver side came of super easy. I feel like I’m about to yank the turbo out!

Thanks for humoring my rant.

Alright, finally got it. I think my problem was the center tab wasn’t far enough out…even though I had a screwdriver right there, it wasn’t enough. I started all over and it came out. Damn SOB.
