My sense here, having seen other EE reviews in which he was much more demonstrative of his enthusiasm (e.g. his GR86 review), is that he's lukewarm on the car.

^ There's a typo there somewhere (or in the video, which I haven't watched yet) ... otherwise magically the car weighs less when he's in it ... mind you, maybe he's just full of "hot air". ;)
ive enjoyed his videos for many years. pretty smart dude...but maybe he's full of hot air this time 😆

Oh yeah, have done this, 4th down to 3rd but got 1st instead at a 90* turn slowing from 100, when I used to track my STi. Rear end locked and spun. No engine damage since the rev limiter cut in. I wonder why Jason didn't mention the rev cut, if happened at all.

rev limiter just cuts ignition right, it cannot prevent the engine from overreving if its wheels driven with enough traction

Yep, it was a good thing I was starting my 90 deg turn, a late hurried downshift, so the car just spun, wheels stopped rotating. Just passed a car and heel-toe too late. Once in a lifetime, hopefully

Have to be careful with the rev match on the Z...when you throw it in neutral from let's say 6th, to coast to a light, if you rock the shifter in neutral (left to right) because of the auto rev match the car will blip even if you're not trying to go into gear..had a scare like that when I first got the 370. Def would be nerve wreaking on track.
