Where was your source from this? In Canada the uncertainty has been that somehow Nissan was going to spec the Performance with the 8" touchscreen. Which doesn't make sense to me because all units are generated from the same factory. But it still would be annoying if shipped with the 8".

Wherever it’s from I hope it’s true…might give the Aussies some hope of getting the 9inch as well

The 8" likely same as the Q60 upper screen. I bet ppl be bitchin' about non-wireless CarPlay-- watch!

I don't have any direct experience myself, but doing a Google search brings up similar adapters for Apple CarPlay.
The Moto one is pretty much the closest thing to a "1st Party" dongle you could hope for (and, the only one this good), not sure if there is a 1st party one for Car Play (or, anything close for that matter)

Most wireless dongles suck, the Moto is the first good one.

Well to be fair in a car this price point and in 2022 it should be wireless….I also thought it was. I also think the twins have wireless and cost a lot less
Even basic cars come with it….and yes the 8 inch display is an issue.
The issue is not what it hasn’t got, but the price point they are selling it at.

If it doesn’t have all the little extras then why the higher price point?

I highly disagree with this grade walk, they took an "All or, Nothing" approach this time (like the Camaro SS)

370Z Base = Z Sport
370Z Sport = N/A
370Z Touring = N/A
370Z Sport Touring = Z Performance

Z Proto is just Z Performance in Yellow with Yellow Interior Accents, Yellow Brakes, Bronze Wheels.

Nismo? - Nothing yet.

Well, it helps flow of production parts and processes, and I'm sure there's some labor considerations.

Maybe, like the Z32, they'll add some standalone options such as leather, spoiler, LSD, etc as time goes on.

I'm fully convinced the trims and options are limited this first model year because of the new automated assembly line at the Tochigi plant. Once all the bugs are worked out, it'll be much easier to offer multiple trims or, dare I say it, custom orders in the future.
