MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – The all-new 2023 Nissan ARIYA electric crossover and the all-new Nissan Z are getting closer to their upcoming on-sale date with the opening of special reservation portals starting February 3rd at 9:00am EST at Nissan.ca/ariyareserve and Nissan.ca/zreserve, respectively. This will give customers the opportunity to be one of the first to order these awaited Nissan vehicles.

To delight both EV and sports car enthusiasts even further, Nissan Canada will also be displaying the all-new ARIYA and all-new Z to the general public at the Nissan Studio at Yorkdale Mall, Toronto, ON from Feb 3rd to 28th, 2022*.

"Nissan has been busy in the past few years, developing ten thrilling, all-new or significantly redesigned models introduced under the banner of Nissan NEXT," said Steve Milette, President, Nissan Canada Inc. "Today, we launch the reservation program for ARIYA and Z to our customers in Canada and we are ready for what we expect to be a flow of enthusiasts gearing to reserve their most awaited models."

The All-New 2023 Nissan Z

Nissan has announced that reservations will open for the 2023 Z starting February 3rd at 9:00am EST. The company has opened a special reservation portal Nissan.ca/zreserve, giving customers the opportunity to be one of the first in line for the most awaited sports vehicle from Nissan this year. The 2023 Z will be available to reserve in limited quantity.

"Z is the pure expression of thrill. It is Nissan's passion wrapped up on four wheels," said Ken Hearn, Marketing Director at Nissan Canada Inc. "With each generation, we've pushed the limits of Z, and this new generation has been inspired by the voices of thousands of Z owners and enthusiasts worldwide."

The all-new Z represents an approachable sports car for the modern age – with an unmatched 50-plus years of heritage and global fan base. The 2023 Z offers a sleek, attractive exterior with a silhouette that shows respect for the original model, with a long hood and low rear stance. Inside, the driver-centric cockpit includes a 12.3-inch customizable racing-inspired TFT meter display, available leather-appointed sports seats and 8-speaker Bose® Audio system.

All 2023 Nissan Z models are equipped with a 400-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine and choice of 6-speed manual transmission with motorsports-inspired EXEDY® high-performance clutch, or a 9-speed automatic transmission with aluminum paddle shifters.

The 2023 Z is offered in Sport and Performance grade levels, available on the reservation portal, and a special Proto Spec edition, which will be available in exclusively limited quantity to reserve at dealerships.

The all-new, seventh-generation 2023 Z, which drops its numerical prefix in North America for the first time, is scheduled to go on sale in spring 2022.

The reservation process:
  • Customers can visit Nissan.ca/ariyareserve or Nissan.ca/zreserve , select their ARIYA or Z using the Nissan online vehicle configurator and place a CA$1,000 refundable deposit.
  • Customers then select the Nissan dealer to have their vehicle delivered to.
  • After the vehicle is delivered to their dealer, customers can complete their purchase at the dealership.
*Nissan Canada will be following all federal and provincial COVID-19 guidelines at the Nissan Studio at Yorkdale Mall, Toronto, ON.

Well this is essentially the same thing as just calling your local dealer directly and telling them you want to put a reservation deposit down. You'll be put on their list and you'll wait until a car is available for sale and your spot is next in line.

I thought we couldn’t pre order the proto? That’s what the dealers have told me here in Toronto.

There is not, nor will there be, any consumer-based reservation system in the US.

Your reservation system looks very similar to Australia’s …works the same way as well.
we could order Protos, so if your dealer has said you can, give him a call…you may be pleasantly surprised.
it’s better than waiting just incase, because our allocations sold out in like two weeks I think

I wonder if you get locked in by what you select on the reservation configurator. So for example I choose a manual, but if after seeing rave reviews of the AT in a few weeks when the first drives come out I decide to go that route, can I change my specification?

The ones I called said they can’t. But preorder online start tomorrow. I’ll see if I can order another one and if proto is available and the right price , I can cancel the other one .

If it’s like Aus I’d say you’d be locked in or can walk away completely. Of course if there are still cars that are not sold Im sure they would swap it out, but may not be the colour etc that you want
It is a little bit of a risk, but for me i know 100% I want a manual.
Not trying to start a war again…but I’ve been driving my husbands Honda CRV quite a bit after selling my car…it’s an automatic, and I just don’t enjoy driving it. It just doesn’t feel the same as interacting with the car.
I knew what I wanted in terms of transmission, colour, interior didn’t really matter to me ( and by your specs yellow only comes in black interior anyhow…so good there) , so the only real risk to me is how much is it actually going to cost….but if it’s above what’s expected we can back out of the contract, but again that could be country dependant

So everywhere else gets reservations and in the states it’s just gonna be a damn free for all??
Looks that way, unfortunately for you guys. But our markets are much smaller, so perhaps they are using us as a guide as to what they will expect to sell there?‍♀
Don’t know…just trying to put a positive spin on it ?
